15 on Fridays with Fletch - Learn how Mattress Mack became a Houston icon and community hero

Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale made a bet on moving to Houston as he started selling truckloads of furniture under a tent on I-45. He always thinks big – His book is titled “Always Think Big” – and he became the largest single-point furniture store in America by jumping up and down on mattresses and promising, “Gallery Furniture Saves You Money!” When floods and hurricanes hit the Houston-Galveston area, Mack sent his trucks to rescue victims and he brought hundreds to live temporarily at Gallery Furniture, giving them a place to sleep and eat, and he gave them fresh clothes. He is a true American hero, and you will love his story of how and why he bets MILLIONS OF DOLLARS on his favorite teams and refunds purchase prices when his teams win. Mattress Mack is the ultimate showman and promoter, so click here to watch him in action!
