#15 Pets история не только о хомяках

My story begins in Tallinn, where I lived until I was five years old. We lived in an apartment, and we had a hamster! Actually, we had more than one, if I remember correctly. Have you ever had hamsters? They’re fun, but they can be tricky to take care of, can’t they?  They have a habit of escaping, and sometimes even… well, let’s just say our hamster met an unfortunate end.Later, my family moved to Belarus, and we settled in a village. There, we had a whole farm: a cow, pigs, a dog, a cat, and even chickens. At one point, we even had a horse in our barn! It wasn’t ours, though. I think it was staying with us temporarily after a fire at the stables. Have you ever had a mini-zoo at home?As time went on, our farm became smaller and smaller. Now, my mother only has a cat and a dog. Recently, they got a new kitten—so cute! Meanwhile, I had a son, and everything was going smoothly until he turned seven. That’s when things took a turn, and he suddenly wanted a pet.Guess what he wanted? A turtle! I was a bit surprised and decided to research what it’s like to have a turtle. It turns out, they’re not very cuddly or playful, and sometimes they can even be aggressive.
