This week I’m talking to Sarah Holt.

Sara is founder of Sarenity Yoga and is based in High Leigh, Lymm and surrounds. She’s been a qualified yoga teacher for 3 years and here’s a little confession…like Emma Manning and Kristina Rhianoff, Sarah and I also did our 200 hour TT together. I haven’t seen her since so I’m keen to catch up with what she’s been doing and how she is managing with being a yoga teacher during this pandemic and lockdown. Like many of us, Sarah has been continuing to teach yoga online as the local venues she’s been teaching at have been closed.

Also like many of us, Sarah became a yoga teacher after falling out of love with her previous full time career - she experienced a real burn out and decided to do something about it in a major way and we’ll talk about that in this podcast.

As well as being a yoga teacher, Sarah is also a writer and has also worked as a travel writer, so we’ll get her insights on her favourite places and experiences - places we can only dream of going to right now. As well as talking about being a freelance writer, Sarah is also majorly into reading, so I get some cheeky book recommendations from her too (see below).

In her personal life, Sarah is engaged to Paul and unfortunately their wedding had to be cancelled last year. They’ve also just moved into a house that they’ve started renovating, so we’ll talk about this as well as batch cooking during lockdown.

And another thing…she’s into cold water swimming which I’m getting into (I’ve had my first dip!) so we’ll talk about how she got into this and what it gives her.

I also get to find out who on earth Ross Edgley is!

Please let Sarah know what you thought of this episode - you can contact her through her Facebook which is Sarenity Yoga.

We didn’t get to Savasana Sounds this week but Sarah did recommend 3 good reads for us:

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stewart

The Soul Mammas Podcast Nicole De Leon: Podcast Host and Fired up Soul Mamma In a world where so many women have shed past notions of what being a mom looks like, who can listeners turn to for real talk on soulful motherhood? Through this weekly podcast, host, Nicole De Leon, a long-time surfer, teacher, yoga instructor, adventurer and now new mother, seeks to candidly talk about the realities of modern motherhood, especially as it affects the pursuit of one’s own interests while remaining a soulful parent. In this podcast, guest moms will share inspiring stories of how they persisted in living out their truest passions and purpose in spite of – and often as a result of – adversity and struggle. Nicole’s hope is that through this podcast mothers will be encouraged to believe in their dreams and prioritize joyful lives in order to teach their children to do the same.
