Liebe Leute, die Podcast-Folge hat sich etwas verspätet weil ich noch in Zoom Videokonferenzen fest hing. Wartet mal, da ruft gerade wieder jemand an und will eine virtuelle Happy Hour machen. Ihr seht schon, in der heutigen Folge geht es um die Videokonferenzsoftware Zoom. Ich sinniere ein bisschen darüber, warum Zoom auf einmal das Mittel der Wahl in Zeiten von Corona und der Schockdigitalisierung geworden ist, schaue mir die Wachstums- und Erfolgsgeschichte des Unternehmens an und rede zum Schluss auch über die Sicherheitsprobleme, von denen die meisten gehört haben dürfen. Es geht um Verschlüsselung, Start-Up Mentalitäten, „security by design“, Zoombombing und die verschlafende Digitalisierung in der EU. Kurzum, Zoom ist ein interessantes zeitgeschichtliches Artefakt, was uns viel über die heutige Zeit verrät.
