150: Embracing Heart-Centered Design: A February to Remember

from Holistic Interior Design Podcast

In this week’s episode, I’m giving an overview of the Design Coven’s theme for the month of February: Heart-Centered Design. I explain what it means to design from the heart and how all of our events this month will support us in reconnecting to our heart space. Together we’ll explore how we can connect with our clients’ heart centers as well, using design to evoke how they want to feel in their spaces. Our upcoming events this month include our New Moon Intention Setting Gathering, the Art Meets Design Mixer, our Mystic Circle, and our Group Coaching and Workshop event. Our workshop this month will be on copywriting for your website, led by Masha Koyen, who is a website copywriter for interior designers. The New Moon Intention Setting Gathering and the Art Meets Design Mixer are both free events, while the others are available only to Design Coven Pro Members. For more details and to join us for one or more of the events I mention in this episode, visit designcoven.com/join. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
