150. Hyldest til Brian Wilson med Chief 1 + Jubilæum med Harild søstrene

Brian Wilson var en mand med en mirakuløs, musikalsk gave som han gavmild gav til fans af The Beach boys og lyttere af musik som sådan. Hans produktion er fyldt med gyldne musikalske momenter, og med en musikalsk originalitet, der vakte beundring, også hos Paul McCartney. Der var en konstant gensidig beundring mellem McCartney og Wilson. De konkurrerede på en kærlig måde om at flytte og udvikle musikken, kulminerende i 1967 med "Sgt. Pepper" og det kuldsejlede album "Smile". Brian Wilson døde den 11 juni, 82 år gammel. Han efterlader et tomrum, men også en musikalsk arv som vi alle kan varme os ved i mange år. Chief 1 skrev en smuk hilsen til Wilson på dødsdagen - en hilsen der emmede af en oprigtig og dybfølt kærlighed til geniet fra The Beach Boys. Med afsæt i det, syntes jeg at det var naturligt at hylde Brian Wilson sammen med Chief 1. For her har vi med en virkelig superfan at gøre. Episoden handler om Wilson, men også om Chief 1s tætte forhold til Wilsons musik. Det er en rørende og berigende udlægning fra  Chief, der lige har travlt lige nu med at opsætte en helt ny og original musical i Fredericia. "What Is Love" har premiere den 20. september og er en ambitiøs forestilling med afsæt i 90´ernes musik. Sanger, komponist, artist og produceren er i maskinrummet på musialen.
