1500 BC: The Descendants of Shem

from Message to Kings - A Biblical History of Man · host Brett Heaston

In order to set the stage for the Hebrews and their arrival on the world stage, we must paint a picture of world as of the date of 1500 BC. In order to do this, we will be discussing the Eastern World and its colonization back to the descendants of Shem, son of Noah. Shem's sons and their families and descendants are responsible for the colonization of Assyria and Babylon in Mesopotamia and India and Pakistan and as far away as China. We will be discussing the roots of these civilizations and we will conclude with a mysterious Biblical figure called Melchizedek.
