1500 meter Runner Sam Prakel on what it’s going to take to make the U.S. 1500 meter team + more

from Running In Circles · host Zach Hamilton

Today I’m joined by 1500 meter runner Sam Prakel. Sam attended Oregon from 2013-2018 where he was a five time all American. He currently holds personal best of 3:50 in the mile and 3:34 in the 1500. This past indoor season Sam completed the double win at the indoor US championships by winning both the 1500 and 3000. This year he’s hoping to make the US outdoor 1500 meter team and with how fearlessly he’s racing right now don’t be surprised when you see him right up there in the mix in the US final. Throughout this episode we discuss what the best day of the week is, how he’s feeling going into USA’s, stories from his time at Oregon when they were completely dominating the NCAA and more.
