You are now listening to the UK and the world's favourite wrestling podcast. Archie and wrestling with your host Andy and Emma. Ooh! It's Sunday.
I'm trying to blame myself. Oh no, I'm not going to. Absolutely shattered. Just trying to gain myself up to not win your belt of WWE.
And just ignore him completely. Andy's doing the hoo-louring case anyone who lives. I'm wondering what the... Well look, you can just do wheels moving on the chairs.
What the fuck are they doing? Oh, here we are again. So we're going to take a little break. Don't feel like we're talking enough of a break.
But here we are. We would have had a break if the we hadn't done a show on the releases. We would have just done Sunday like today. We jumped on him.
We were thinking we were fucking breaking news. I was thinking I would have been your mad. Like, does it matter? Or does it?
We were getting in early this week. How are you doing? I'm really tired. I'm OK.
It's been a fairly relaxed weekend, doesn't it? Yeah, it's been chilled out. Not really too much going on. Just kind of rolled a bit.
Just chilled out. Just chilled out. I've been watching wrestling now. I've said to you before we came on.
Let's get this out of the way first. Hello everyone. Welcome once again. It's episode 151.
Can you believe it? I hope you're all doing well. I hope you're all safe. I'm wearing them bloody masks until you can get that.
That's about the same bloody mask. I've said to you before we came on. I feel like I've watched so much wrestling in the last week. But I also feel like I haven't watched any.
Do you know what I mean? I don't know if you've known a bit of seeping in or... Obviously, some of it is seeping in and I've got some things to talk about. But I feel like I'm watching a shit on the wrestling and I've seen.
But I feel like I'm watching a shit on the wrestling at the moment. But yet none of it is registering with me. I don't know if that's just because of what I'm watching or because of how I'm feeling. It's just enjoyable in it.
It's just a bloody good time. A damn good time with me wrestling. What have we been watching this week? We watched AEW.
Obviously, that was great. There's some great moments from that. Jericho was a great guy. I'm a great guy.
I'm a great guy. I'm a great guy. I'm a great guy. I'm a great guy.
I'm a great guy. Great moments from that. Jericho and Mike Tyson did. Mike Tyson actually knocked Cash out.
Well, he did the stiff arms thing. But I thought it just looks too good. Obviously, he's carrying him off at the end, which was funny. Great main event, Darby Allen.
And my hardy, I thought it was dead fun. They've got to get a grip on all these fucking people though. I don't need to see 20 people running out. There was nothing much about that happening.
I can't remember what it was. Where just a shit load of people ran out and got involved. Was it hard to... I think of it in a second.
But then obviously, the main event of the evening really was the opening match, which was young books, against Pac and Phoenix. And that was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. He got five stars.
I think he was like the second match, second Dynamite match to get five stars. Whereas obviously they've had tons on paper using things. I think it was absolutely ridiculous. And I've got ratings things later, so I can go in the ratings as well in a little bit.
But God, it was half an hour. And it was just fully bi, because it was entertaining. There was also fucking mental spots that were great. Ripping the mask off, doing the good heel shit.
Later on, Callis is the one who super kicks the camera man. Just hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. It was really good.
Yeah, I had a good time. Obviously it wasn't the greatest show they've done, but yeah, I really enjoyed that. I've got ROH now. So I bought the Honor Club.
And really to go back and watch. Past paper views, which I've done. Even though I only got it last night, I've done quite a lot. So I've watched a G1 Supercard for a Metal Square Garden, which was cool.
I watched the Orlean. I know he's sensing a bit of a theme here with AW. I watched the Orlean paper view. I'm up to the Finisher Cody in the Kaldis.
Hello, areas like Dexter Lumis is just part of the Kaldis is crew, really funny. And I watched the most recent, so the 19th anniversary show. I'm up to Bandito Flamin' Plamenta. And can't remember the last guy's name, unfortunately, because I am so tired.
But that was ridiculous. There was a crossbody Canadian destroyer. But no, boys and rounder shit. So like one guy's on the other guys's shoulders.
All the guys on the rope, top rope. Dives, crossbody's across that guy. And the other guys on the shoulder takes it and then poison Horakaran as the other one. Jesus.
It was just fucking mental. It was great. Those loads of really cool stuff in that. I'm up to that.
Nudgepam. The fucking rotus. They're gonna kill me. They'll be the death of me these fuckers.
So show it every other day. I'm just like, and I have to watch it. And it is great, but fuck. And now they've announced that sorry, anime evils match.
The stipulation is gonna be a fucking bag match or whatever. The club of darkness or whatever. There's gonna be HUDs on the four posts. And you can't pin or submit somebody until you put the hood over their head.
And I did watch SmackDown highlights. Yeah, I was just saying, talking to you. What's the whole show? Highlights.
And the highlight is reasonable. But they're always gonna be reasonable, aren't they? But the funniest bit, and I nearly put this in as a new story. But the bit that I was just like rolling me eyes out.
Like to the point where I was under takering. It's fucking Apollo Crews and he's new mate. Commander Aziz. The captain of the Nigerian Elite Guard who's finishing move, he's Umargas, finishing move, but it's called the Nigerian nail.
And I was just like, I don't know. And I was just like, Apollo. Oh, actually Apollo, you just put your hands over here is where I talked to your writer. You really want me to just forget.
I've not watched the fucking show and I know the other kate over is on the ground. I was fucking forgetting. So this guy's on the ground fighting Braun Strowman and getting squashed. They'll say shit about him being in the Nigerian Elite Guard.
And I know that's nitpicking. But fucking hell. Like, I'm not. We're not supposed to remember that that even happened.
It was like a weird fever dream. That's how WWE wants to remember that. In fact, they want us to just erase it like it never happened. Raw underground.
What a great idea. Let's do it. We've already done it, Vince. We've already done it.
Oh, how did that go? Not very well, Vince. Oh, we got dragged for it, Vince. It was really quite poor.
Well, fuck it. Do it again. But Shane on it. Shane will make it work this time.
Shane was on the same as on it last time. Oh, are you nodding? More about that later. So yeah, it's been mad.
I feel like I've watched, I've watched a, I've watched a, like a 10 minutes of a ROH site, Global Wars thing, which was New Japan ROH branding from like 2014. In Canada. And there was only, it only seems to be about 500 people there, which was crazy, like proper Super Entertainment show. And Nakamura is on it.
Tana Hashi's on it. Akada's on it. And it's just like fucking hell. Can you imagine?
I can't even imagine that. Cause all the way through that G1 Super Car thing, you'll see no spray come out to start with. And then the main event's like JY and Akada for the IDBGP Heavyweight Championship. So fuck if you went to WrestleMania that week and you've got, you know, cause that was on Hall of Fame night and you would have missed, which I'm happy missing, but you would have missed Bret Hargain attacks.
And if the R beating the shit out, they'd be dude, you would have missed that. I think DX went in that year once a while, whatever. But Christ, if you had that if you had like take over, then that's Super Car Joe, then Wrestle Mania, it's like, what a fucking week. That would nearly make up to about the year to wait six hours to get back to your hotel.
Anyway, that's no more log. I just fucking went for it. Yeah. And as you can probably tell from my silence, I did not join Andy in any of this viewing.
Pat from AW. That's all I've got time for. You've got high standards. It's not that.
It's, I enjoy watching movies. So I have to shoot all the movies in as well. You've got to get that content in. I have to.
You've got to get that content in. I've got to prioritize. Yeah, absolutely. And you've watched all the films this week.
I have, yeah. Although I did not finish watching the Japanese version of Ring and nothing happens. And I looked in it, I've 20 minutes left, I got in bed, I was like, I watched last 20 minutes in bed and I fell asleep straight away. And I've seen really no horror in it yet.
I mean, the last 20 minutes might be crazy. I think we're going to be fucking mad. Yeah. Because I've always been like really up for watching that.
Yeah. And when you're saying like fuck holes happened here, it's just the journalists running around us a bit like, what? It's kind of creepy. But like, you know, think of like the American remake because obviously it has to be like, you know, it's like jump scare city.
It's got jump scares all over the place. There's nothing like that. And there's always something Daphne like, you know, the fucking cat. Yeah.
Yeah. I was going to say something worse like, you know, there's that in the kitchen and a cereal box just falls down. It's always the fucking cat. Yeah.
It's always the other door open. Back door's open and they're like, oh, and the wind's kind of blowing it and then the cat runs in like, oh, jinkies. Oh, jinkies, you scared me because there's obviously a guy with an axe. Yeah.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Well, to tie it all in, punk did say this week. Do you know what?
Do you put it in room 101? What's the un-punk? He's getting close. He's getting close.
I'll fill off this and I'll put it as a news story. I didn't. To sort of tie that in, it's punked this week in his numerous interviews, compared horror fans to wrestling fans. Okay.
And so like, it's got a similar fan base of like insanely marks basically. He said, he said marks but in a nicer way. He was like insanely passionate and dedicated fans of marks. He said, you're calling us marks.
Just a moment. And he was basically going on about like the similarities between so like, you know, horror is there for like an insane moon and nobody thinks it's real and all this kind of stuff. However, we just go along with this kind of stuff anyway. And that, ironically enough, was the most interesting thing he said this week because I am fucking sick of him being stories.
Why is he, I know it's also because he constantly being interviewed. Is he selling something? No, I don't. Well, in these interviews, if he is selling something, they ain't holding up there and the fucking bargain.
I mean, not that I'm going into him. I read like one and then the rest of it's like, no, wait, the thing is it's racking me. So he's not being interviewed interview. He does the odd like interview, but it's more things like Samoa Joe gets released and the other interaction about you with it about it with you.
And then that's a new story. Sure. And then he's responses a new story. And then the fact that a fan asks him, would you come out of retirement?
So I've won final match with Samoa Joe and he says anything's possible. And that's a new story. And everyone's like freaking out. Oh my God, Paul's coming back.
He's got to face Samoa Joe. He's going to face Samoa Joe. He's definitely happening. He said anything.
He's like, what am I? Anything's possible means he's coming back. I'm just fucking sick of saying his name. And just like what's he said now?
Oh, seeing Punk thinks Eddie Kingston's the best promo. So yeah, other people are asking him. He's doing the ask punk thing on swear. People are asking him, who do you think's the best promo on the moment?
He's on Eddie Kingston. But everybody runs with it like he's fucking... He's going to turn up on Dynamite. Yeah.
Like he's going to go and a different song. Maybe a different pixie song and out comes Punk. It's like, if he comes back, he comes back. But I can't get the fuck at this point.
I think it's not to the point now where it's become so... So much time has passed. But it's like I said, the reason why people are so obsessed is because he left on his own terms and no one got the send-off or any answers. So then it left...
It's like it's really unsatisfying sort of a situation for everyone and that he just disappeared. He went MIA from WWE. And that was it, wrestling-wise. That was it.
And then he did a UFC show, which has failed miserably. It was really, really soft to watch. But it's because the fans didn't get... And you could say he kind of went in his prime too.
So it wasn't like he was over the hill. He was fine. And I think it's just that unsatisfying ending that makes people so obsessed. And he doesn't help when you're people like Edge coming back.
And he's like, well, Punk really can come back. He's not like he's now too old or whatever. But yeah, it's frustrating because I mean, you know I'm a big CM Punk fan. And I would like to see him come back just for that moment.
But... Where would you also come back? I don't know. I don't really care.
He's not seeing him. I just did. I don't know really. But he'll come back wherever he fucking comes back if he ever does.
But he's just getting to the point now where it's gone so long that I think he would have come back by now. And it's like, God, have we got another 10 years of this? Like, see, I'm Punk! It's going back!
It's like, it's like, it's like, Bunk! It's like, if only it was only 10 years. We'll have another 20. You know, the time when the World War is going back will be, what if he deletes his Twitter?
It's like explaining it to like a kid though at the rest of the World War. So why is everyone chanting that man's name? It's like, oh, see, I'm Punk was a wrestler who was here last seen in 2013. It's like, 2013.
It's like, oh my God, it's 2021. Oh no, we're just really wanting back. And the kid would be like, get over it. I don't even want them then.
You're Mark. You're Mark. Go for your Mark. Move on.
What are you wearing that? I see him punk topping 2021. You're Mark. Oh my God, that's fucking funny.
It was 2013, I was 2014. It was like that. Jesus Christ. Right, let's, um, we've got a tweet.
I know we've got one for Remo and L One point two million for Dynamite is a great number and the ugly much surely retains a one million plus number the next week. Yeah, pretty much agree with everything he said there. So we'll get on to that extra other rating story later where I'm going to go for it. Each of the major shows, sorry impact, but you're down this week and you only get just over in a thousand times.
It's not worth it like that. Even though I didn't like that again. Jesus Christ. I'm so tired.
I know. Yeah. So it's the news. So I got up first even though it's been absolutely weeks.
That's just one week since. But since we lost a new show, A.W. star Chris Jericho made tons of waves when he appeared on the Steve Austin's Broken School Sessions podcast on Peacock following WrestleMania 37 on Sunday in an interview with Busted Open Radio, which is a great name. Jericho gave more details behind the appearances, his reactions.
He said, quote, nobody really knew what to expect. It did come completely out of left field. The opening line of the show, if you've seen it, I said, I can't believe it. There's no snipers on the roof here to take me out.
I can't believe I'm on the show. Yeah, it was kind of monumental groundbreaking moment. Breaking moment. That was a short good price.
Talking all of this out. Talk about you. He's the best. He's the best at pointing stuff over.
I wouldn't have done the show if it wasn't to talk about my whole career, including A.W. There'll be no benefits for me to do the show, which is go on and talk about all things. We all hate that. We hate that.
Don't call him I.T.J. Do not. He'll be getting a due to the effects over the tables. Steve Austin wouldn't have me on either.
We're thinking of maybe doing a podcast of our own, which I've done to do the Jericho one now, after we did the Broken School Sessions. But I don't remember how the night ended. It was one of those where I woke up in bed in my hotel. Like, how did I get here?
Do you know a lot of the shots and stuff? There's something really funny about the pair of those two. Drinking. Because I feel like they're both obviously big drinkers.
But I do feel like at different points in that podcast when drink was in it. One of them didn't really want to drink. And the other one did. And it was a bit like a keep the face.
Keep the face. One person seemed to be affected by it and the other person absolutely did not. It just didn't phase Austin at all. Jericho, that was his hands getting his fucking ice cubes and whacking them in.
It's like mate, you feel the pain. Oh, you dirty bitch. It's a pandemic. But drinking is fucking seat.
See the thing is, sometimes when he did it, especially at his great goose. But most of the time he had a mixer with that fucker. But he was drinking that straight in front of Stone Cold. So show what a real man is.
Oh, yeah. Oh, cry. But not the time he was putting the salt stuff in with it. But he was drinking that shit straight to show off.
Oh, backfire. Because he didn't remember getting home. Oh, that's so funny. But by the end he did look a big last night where he was just like, right, well, then the next month.
I had to go with Austin. Like, you know what I mean? Like that show finished. Where?
I just can't imagine ever, right? Even if we were sat in, you know, like we were staying at a hotel in the States. We were sat in the lobby. Because the most likely place I would imagine people like that of that fame go would be hotel bars.
Because I don't think you get bothered as much in one of those. But I just can't imagine Stone Cold walking into any room without the bus. But like, I just... He just follows him around the house.
He's probably the bus when he's seeing like drop one of the things. But like, I just can't imagine him walking into somewhere. You know, with his little coat on and you know, put his coat on the... He just doesn't seem like a real human to me.
Like, he just goes, excuse me. Excuse me. Oh, I think that. Because he said it was in Texas.
Why don't you just like Jericho to stay over? Well, obviously not like Jericho, can I? Get out, bro. Go for it.
Go for it. We just drinking beer after beer after beer after beer. Like Jericho. Just kidding.
Yeah, I think that's really cool. Yeah, definitely. I'll be interested in what Austin says about it because he can't remember getting home. But I bet I'll see that's what I mean in Uber.
I was just like, oh, fucking... Go down to Jericho. I like to think of Chris. Because we always had that joke, didn't we, about Chris being the person who walks up at a party.
You know, he walks in his shades and he does the two fingers high. And everyone's like, oh, fucking, I'll be a Jericho. Chris! No one wants to get stuck with him.
He's just gonna tell him how fucking wonderful he is. But like, I also like to think of him as a lightweight. And I like to think that's really stuck with Jericho. And he's going into rock and roll.
That's why he's got his gut. He's really trying to become a drinker. I've got to, I need to keep up with him. But I think, I like to think that he was a perennial lightweight.
It was like, he was always slumped over so I was shoulder-y. No, not a monthly one. I'll be lightweight. It's like, damn son.
Look at that gaggy. Because when they did a shot for the road, like Austin's eyes, I've had madas. I was like, you fucking jokey? You sure Chris?
You sure Chris? You want to do this? Because I can go all night. Yes, you can't go toe to toe.
It was so cold. Not a chance. No, we went on to take it was on it. I watched the first one in his entirety and I think it's all like most of the second one.
And when he breaks out like the JD on the table, like, on the second, it just goes, oh no. You can see it in his face. He's like, oh fuck it. We're supposed to be working in this.
He's breaking his booze out like it's fucking 1999. God Jesus. There's something like just like on that show because I really enjoyed it. I did as well.
You don't need something that I did. I think I only had like half an iron in it and I was more listening to it. You just went, God, Austin's insensitive. It's just the way he looks at you.
He just basically asked somebody saying something. So like Jericho will be saying something and it might be like all that time when I was in the rumble or whatever. And Austin is like doing his hand gestures at him as he's saying these sentences. It's kind of like as though he's miming along the words of him.
It's like really off-putting, but he's dead and dearing. The one that I like the best is because he seems like he's trying to shoot an angle. Because like Jericho was talking about it like so much and he's just leaning over just like staring and like really instantly and nodding which we'll get to in a little bit. But he's just nodding.
Yeah, as if he's got that look on his face as if to say Jericho's going to get stoner at any second. He's going to be looking up on the light. He's like looking for his hands. Like Jericho's just talking about some nondescript thing and he's just like eyeball.
Yeah, he's so, do you know what I do think it is though? I know this sounds like just to bring it back down to earth and sound really depressing. I think he's a bit hard of hearing. You think?
Yeah, I think that's why. Maybe. That's why he's listening so intently. I just put it down to him being like really passionate.
He's just intense as far as he is. Hopefully it's because if you don't have hearing it'd be really sad. I mean, the bit where they were talking about the fast count or I can't remember what they were saying was like Jericho had a spot where it like, it always a slow count. He's like, Jesus Christ son.
He's like, do that gimmicked count. That's a championship count right there. He took all of those three seconds. Because Austin's like obviously the one who gets beat second in the hole.
He's pinning and he's like one, two, and like halfway down from two. Austin's like, God's sake. Counts of fucking three. It's so good.
I would do it to anybody to watch it. Just purely for our intense stone cold is really if you don't even like Jericho. I mean, I presume he's like that on the undertaker one as well. Yeah, yeah, sorry, intense.
Because I think he's not quite as intense with undertaker because I think he needs a partner. He needs a sparring partner and you ain't out talking. Let's jump on. You just ain't out.
Don't marry the fuck you out. It could be your show. It could be Vince. You ain't out talking Jericho.
So Jericho was constantly like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And he's like, maybe it's a bit of like, I'm going to try and move on to the next segment or what it is. But I think because Jericho's a talker and he's a talker and he bounced off each other. And they can talk and talk in each other's company.
It seems like they can talk for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours about wrestling. Whereas on the tiger, I think he probably got the whiskey out to try and warm him up a bit and to get out of the shell a little bit. Which he was more out of his shell the second one. It's just, I just found it with such a joy to watch.
It was great. It was so much fun to watch because I was a little bit concerned because stone cold as a tendocit to talk over people. And Jericho, I don't think he necessarily does that. But he has a motor mouth as white as he was saying.
So I was like, oh, this was going to be a bit of a shit show of the boaters talking at each other. It's like it's not about different subjects. Oh, fucking hell, it was good. But yeah, I was surprised by how much they talked about AW and talks about Tony Khan a lot and I was a great boss and they got great people there and stuff.
So that was interesting. I've seen a few people saying that that was the contributing factor towards AW's good audience figures for this week. I mean, maybe a couple of thousands. Maybe a couple of people watching that really.
Anyway, anyway. I really enjoyed that. It was, yeah, they should do that more often. Because it's just a chat.
It talks about New Japan a lot, which I really liked. It talks about AW, it talks about WWE and the best things he did in WWE. And he was honest about why he left. The whole Owens rivalry at Armenia was the best story going in and it was supposed to be the main event.
And then he changed it to fucking, it wasn't even the main event, it wasn't Brock Lesnar Goldberg, but that's what we told. It was something to take a reign. But to be the second match on the cards, we even said at the time, this is a bit odd to this one being in it. I know, yeah, because we really look forward to it.
Yeah, because Shane, Shane, Matt Mambo's AJ Styles could have gone on second. But anyway, you know. It was really good, though. I did find it quite interesting.
Like, you know, we both picked up on him emitting the same point, which was Triple H's Triple H trying to nix the Festival of Friendship culmination. Yeah. Because he said in the past it was Triple H, he said, no, we're not doing it, you're changing it, we're going to cut it short or whatever. And Jericho getting Vince to say it was fine.
And him going back and showing his bones Triple H. And in the Broken School sessions, he just said the powers that B tried to stop it. And I was like, well, that's quite interesting. He's quite happy to throw Vince under the bus.
He wasn't mind repeating the stuff he said about Vince. But that one in particular, I was like, oh, that's interesting that he didn't say Triple H. Yeah, he didn't name names in that. And I think he knows where he is.
And he did say that joke at the start. It was a sniper's ear for me. And that's just silly common. But I bet he was worried about what he could talk about and how it would be edited and that kind of thing.
And it didn't seem to be edited much, if at all, really. I didn't know what he said he cut us in there. And there was a lot of swearing that the bleeps out. And I like that.
I like it when they talk normally. Do I want to see a Sami Zayn Kevin Owens one at the moment? No, because they're in there and they're doing the thing. But in 10 years time, 20 years time, as Ainoins sort of frank discussion like that about everything about the ROH and NXT.
And then WWE, you know. I think it's the only time to speak to wrestlers is when it's a normal conversation, not K-Fabe. Because K-Fabe podcasts, TV shows, they're absolute worst. They really are so off putting.
So bad. Yeah, I hate them. Because I've not listened in a few weeks, but I was listening to that AW unrestricted or something like that. And it's not a K-Fabe.
They're not talking about stuff you have to do with the show. And then I've got like five minutes into the red velvet. And I'm going to be chick-hargillup. She's a bitch.
And I'm like, fucking hell. Take her day off. Take her day off. Literally what I was scrambling around in the air for.
I need to get a hoodie because I'm getting really tired. But they're pulling it on. I'm going to get a top first in the first instance. I'm not going to get a top.
Let's move on to the next thing. I don't think you've heard this anyway. So number two, what do we do? Sports Media Star.
Sports Media Star, apparently, come on to this. And the 2020 Wrestling Observer, let's a rookie of the year award winner. Pat McAvie has joined the SmackDown commentary team. So they've done loads of things with the commentary.
You know, Adran Verk is the Raw guy now, because Nick Kanlikes, because he's a big baseball fan. And they've got Pat McAvie in there for SmackDown. He's just him and Cole. So they've wanted to change it up.
But Byron Sacks didn't survive somehow. But I thought he did reasonably well. I mean, the only things I saw was the highlights. You know, there was a couple of missteps, but he was being, it felt like he was being himself.
And obviously with the whole NXT stuff, that was really good. And you had a couple of matches that were really good where he tried. He was a bit of a bunny-esque. He wanted to try to do a bit of everything.
He was a pleasant surprise when he wrestled. Yeah, definitely. He was a good promo, so we can definitely talk. And I thought on some of the things the highlights that I saw, it was good.
But we'll see with him. Because he's obviously got a lot of stuff going on. So he's got his own radio show. He does other sports, commentary, not necessarily commentary, but commentary is in.
He goes on ESPN and gets the opinion about something or whatever that is. I don't think he does ESPN, but you know what I mean? His question for you, just on commentary. You know when they do like these shake-ups and they sign people, yada yada yada.
Do you think he makes any difference viewing figure-wise? Oh, viewing figure-wise, absolutely not. Do you think he ever brings anybody in? Listen, that shit show on Monday night, that absolute fucking car crash.
And we'll get on to the ratings later. But at this point, they could put the massacre of chickens for KFC. They could put three hours with commercial breaks of chickens just getting slaughtered for KFC. And Colonel Sanders is just standing there, whapping their heads off these chickens.
You know, it's all a signal for it. Let's just go back to that awful lot of it. That was from a couple of years ago. Colonel Sanders beat the chicken and the Miz was the chicken.
Ladies and gentlemen, two times WWE champion. The chicken is, you know, at this point, they could put anything on there. They could put guerrillas fucking. They could put chickens being murdered.
I'm trying to think of something like it's bad, but they could put a chess tournament on with no commentary so you don't know what the moves are even. They could put tiddly winks on. If you don't know what tiddly winks is, don't bother Google, because it's a wastey time. They could put the intricacy of making a ceramic pot for two hours, 35 minutes.
And that fucking figure is not coming down. I mean, it will come down. I think it'll be about 1.7 next week. But at this point, they could do anything.
It's nothing's affecting their ratings, nothing. Because it's shit. But yeah, I don't think there'd be a time where if you got an announcer, it would change anything. I can't think of any announcers or any commentators or anything.
Or something like Joe Rogan. That would affect ratings. Because I'm sure Joe Rogan at this point doesn't affect UFC ratings. He might affect UFC ratings if he wasn't there, but he's not going to bring guys to the product because he has done for the last fucking 15 years, rather long.
It's been if Joe Rogan served up on WWE, people out with morbid curiosity would probably tune in. So that might give you a bit of a bump because he is the biggest podcast in the world. But I don't think that sports commentator is famous. Like, you know, this guy who's got fur for all, I've got no idea who he is.
Most people don't really are clue who he is. Outside of America, they don't know. And he did a poor job on Monday. So it's all about what you do.
We're always like that my cat and my guy who is calling Jeff Harvey. Oh my God, you know that's- That's- That's- That's- That's- That's- That's- That's- That's- That's- Yes. Yes. Well, I don't want to know what it looks like.
I'm just begins to see how much power it kind of does. So you can just say I want my guy in and then go, okay, okay pal. Well, no, I don't think it makes any difference whatsoever. Mmm, it's- It's just funny, isn't it?
Because of all the parts of the show I've seen- I've seen more the commentary team get refreshed more than the stale product. Do you know what I mean? It's like the, it's like the feel of me that that needs to be refreshed. We need to get a burst of new energy into it.
They just don't have that. They don't apply that to the actual show. It's really really weird. No, it's like a new, a new intro for Monday Night Raw.
really weird. It's like, oh, and a new intro for Monday Night Raw, like maybe a bit of music and a new montage of superstars, but the show's shit. It's just really strange. You just find the approach to certain parts of the show is like this, progressive and keep it fresh and keep it new.
And yet, everything's the same. It's sweaty, sweaty, and Randy Orton was the champion and me has just got the briefcase again. Yeah, it's just so strange. I do want to feel like a bit of a hypocrite there because they did put up a Raw, which I thought was my down-bitch Raw, apparently.
A first ever, first ever match between Braun Strowman and Randy Orton. And I was like, who fucking cares? But we should do because we've never seen it before. And people should be scratching around on the floorboards for that little crumb, but they give us a new book.
I can come care less about Randy Orton against Braun Strowman. If you were to ask any wrestling fan if those two would have a match, I bet a lot of them would be like, probably. Yeah, that's not what you think track out of it. Well, it keeps that to me, as Randy Orton and Braun Strowman are the match, I'd say probably at some point.
They've got one, surely. So the fact that they've not, he's really surprising considering they love to fucking track out the same thing over there. Well, this might be something we're going to be seeing in the next two years. Braun Strowman and Randy Orton, that's the new thing.
Before WrestleMania next year, they've faced like 50 times. It's like how? There's not that many laws. Well, God, I don't know.
I don't know if they would be one of those, maybe 51 maybe. Maybe just that many Raws. Yeah. Oh, Christ, I'm not an aye, but no.
I think bad commentators will affect the ratings. I think because obviously, you know, when they were doing the whole NXT after Merrow, that made me sort of switch off with the Plexiglas and all that kind of stuff. And I've watched a bit of NXT this week and that's what I should have said. Yeah, what's next season?
Oh, with the Three Women's Champions was a really cool moment. And I kind of saw like a backstage segment with Bianca basically crying for, on a SmackDown thing, not an NXT thing. When they were the three profits while introducing her and so far, putting the shades on to try and call it all before she goes out, which works quite sweet. They've got, they've got her right.
Like, I just don't, I don't understand how they can get one person right. Yeah. But what they can't do in all the babyface, like they've got no idea how fucking do it. It's like, there's only one person producer wise who can do it.
And Bianca Belair's got whoever it is. The entire team is more of pure, poor types and kids was producing the probably the two worst matches on the entire weekend. At least Natalia said he did a good job. But the, um, fuck me, like, they fought up everybody and Ed, she still got Cheers face.
So, what are you going to do? We know what's going to happen with Bianca Belair, don't you? They're going to turn heel. Oh, yeah.
Chuck should be heel in the next few weeks. Yeah, you can't whip somebody without hair and not be a heel. It's like, she's doing too well as a face. Too well.
She's doing too well. And you know, Vinnie loves that heat. I can't believe it's that she's the only face champion currently and they're probably going to turn heel in a week. So everybody's going to be a heel.
She just turns on her husband and hilarious. I just think like if the, if there is a slight chance that Becky Lynch comes back, I think she'll go back to Raw. Yeah, she was on Raw, wouldn't she? I don't know.
I don't know. She should come back any time. Oh, I won't be tempted if I was a rock up to WrestleMania. They bought the truck.
They bought everything. She just went, you know, I don't think so. Yeah, she's like, I think I think any three moments, and he's like, Oh, it's like all the time you need your new mother. So I got some new pal.
She's like, fuck this. She's probably got there. She's probably in a ringy. And she's just like, right, let's have a look at the card then.
She's got some, no, she was like, she was straight to go out and like, Nikki and Brie came up and go, Oh, good luck. You know, you'll do really well. I was like, Oh, yeah, thanks. I just pushed her to both in the back and he stumbled through the curtain.
It's like, Oh shit, I bet I'm beat Bailey up. It's like, where's Becky Lynch? It's like, should I bitch near the face? She's probably got wolf ticketed.
Vince is like, it's a pull house out there. And it's like, those people like cardboard, quiet, actually, Vince, are you sure it's a pull house? They don't look like real people. It's a pull house.
They're all cheering for you, Nikki. Oh, you see that one? It's just like, it's just like a camera feed. It's like, no, this is a picture.
It's a picture. They're just like, so happy. I can't wait until I know exactly how many people are in that night. Both nights can't wait because I'm going to fucking let him rip.
