#151 Isi 'Doxz' Fitikefu

from Johnny Yaps · host Johnny Yap

In this episode I caught up with rising One Championship contender - Isi Fitikefu. From growing up in South Auckland to moving to Australia to pursue Rugby League, Isi is a soft spoken athlete who definitely prefers to let his fists do the talking. That said, it was great to be able to chat with him and have him open up about his experiences, from getting bullied on his first day of school (and the repercussions for his bully) through to his first attempts at trying to go to Jiu Jitsu. As stable mates with fellow Aussie Middleweights Jacob Malkoun and Robert Whittaker, It was also great to talk about his most recent outing at One 168 in Denver Colorado against Hiroyuki Testuka and how his coach Alex Prates was able to get Isi into another frame of mind by knowing what's important to Isi and fighting. One of the most beautiful moments of this podcast was being able to bond with Isi around being a father, I hope you all enjoy the episode!
