Karna Shakya is the chairman of the KGH Group, which owns and operates Kathmandu Guest House, Park Village Resort, and other hospitality businesses. He served as a wildlife officer and was a significant figure in the founding of Nepal's first national park, Chitwan National Park. He also worked in the tourism sector and was a crucial figure in the founding of Nepal's B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital.
