152. Love, Gratitude, and Grief with Alfred Brenner IV

This week we sat down with retired Marine, Sargeant Alfred Brenner IV, and had the pleasure of learning about his incredible story as a K9 Handler. Al shares his story about his time in the Marines alongside his dog, Grief. However, this story is more than just a man and his dog, rather it is about the bond, trust, and love built between the two. Al recounts some of his missions alongside Grief, including his last one in which he was wounded by an IED explosion.  Although Al's story is heavy, it is also very inspiring. Al was able to honor the lives of his brothers, sisters, and Grief by writing a book called Surviving with Grief .
