#153 Are We Missing God's Voice? Luke 7:31-35

In today's episode, Jesus asks, ‘To what shall I compare the people of this generation?He describes the children in the marketplace who refuse to join in no matter what’s offered. John the Baptist came fasting and was dismissed as “too extreme.” Jesus came eating and drinking and was called “too much.”After listening, use these journal prompts for further reflection: Where do I find myself resisting God because it doesn’t look the way I expected?Do I tend to dismiss people or situations too quickly, rather than asking how God might be at work?What kind of fruit do I want my life to show—kindness, compassion, faith, wisdom?How can I practice openness to God’s voice, even when it surprises me?
