153: [SELF] A Vulnerable Look at Gratitude and Personal Growth
from The PA Is In | Tracy Bingaman | Physician Assistant/Physician Associate/PA-C/PA-S/PA Student · host Tracy Bingaman, PA-C | The Money PA | Physician Assistant | Physician Associate
When I reflect on my personal journey with gratitude, I realize it has impacted my life on a seriously deep level, probably deeper than any achievement, money saving strategies or systems I’ve used in the past. As a Type A achiever I used to think that gratitude was a slippery slope to complacency. I now know that gratitude is the cornerstone to launch your life into the next level. Gratitude and wanting to grow are not mutually exclusive. I know I’m not unique in this grappling with gratitude and growth. I love personal development and growth and now my gratitude practice is a part of that journey. I think what’s super interesting about this topic, especially when it comes to achievement and appreciation, is that I’ve been doing this gratitude practice for years. Sometimes more consistently, sometimes less, and what I focus on, I find. When I’m consistently doing my gratitude practice I’m more grateful. Period. I find things to be grateful for even on the shittiest days. In this episode we are diving into the deep end of gratitude, it’s raw (spoiler alert: I cry… twice), it’s real, it’s me thanking you and sharing why my heart has changed in this gratitude of arena.
