Captain Peter Bethune is a published author, producer of The Operatives TV show, and public speaker. He is the founder of Earthrace Conservation. He works assisting countries in Asia, Central America and Africa with fisheries enforcement and anti-poaching. On Boxing Day, Pete was on a patrolling mission in the jungle of Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica when a fer-de-lance snake - the most deadly snake in Central America - bit him.
