Hello and welcome to Turbo Tabletop Number Five. I am Jonno and today I'm joined with Ollie. That's me. Isaac.

Hi. Steve. Hello. And now Smithy.

Hello. We've all competed in a couple of tournaments recently which we talked about in Tabletop Number 3 and 4 I think. So we're going to go down and see how we did. The first one was the Mystic Games tournament which was all individual and then it did got teams.

So we will start with the Mystic Four throw down which Isaac won. You went 3-0. Your points were 99, 86, 89. So you peaked.

Yeah. I'll give you the first game. Ollie was second. Again.

3-0. You went 76, 92, 97, 76. Oh there's a nice upward trajectory. Steve, you went 2-1.

You got a hundred, 84, 54. You got the hundred. That was me. I came 6.

I went 2-1 as well. Got 89, 86, 47. And then Smithy, you were 7. You also went 2-1.

You got a hundred. Then 39, then 75. Yeah. Not a bad average performance.

I think we all had, apart from Isaac, had a low moment but as a whole, we didn't do that for my low moment. Unfortunately I was like, what's nice is we're all in, going for the last game. We were all in contention. And I think the John and your low scoring game was against me and Steve was against Isaac.

So yours was against me. So we only performed badly into each other. Which is pretty good. I think that makes sense, right?

Yeah. It's kind of tracks for what, how we're doing. Yeah. Our game 3 was into each other and that was, that was rough.

I've written down it. It was first in the foe. I had shocking opening secondary so I just couldn't do. And then I just couldn't kill anything and was out killed.

So you started your second race on, I've just got you listed as opponents. You started on bringing it down behind them. And I just put my tracks behind buildings. That was it.

That was it. You were deaf guy. You went fast enough to get anywhere. I had a, actually my last two turns were no prisoners engaged, secure, non-man's land and the boy teleporter.

Perfect. Yeah, but we've got nothing left on board. So. My first game was servoscalls.

I do like servoscalls. It just, it swings so much. Do you know, do you know, the superpinnies can be wrong? Well, that's what makes it more enjoyable.

How much it annoys other people. I ended the game with all of the objectives on my opponents, home objective, time of injury, which was, yeah. Yeah. The guy I played was less experienced, I guess.

And he was moving his objectives towards, moving the objectives towards his deployment. I kept saying to him, why was he wrong? Yeah, he's like, you want to move him this way, exactly. Then they're going to move to you.

I was like, yeah, but you're going to deny me points. Because we're both, we're both. And he's like, ah, that's right. I don't want to do it.

All right. Because at the end of his turn, having moved him quite to his deployment zone, scores you points. Exactly. So I can see why John was in contention.

Was this, was this one of the labs that he brought up through the school club? Jimmy and the S7. Well, I explained it yesterday. Yeah.

It was a very fun game though, because he had, it was neck problems. I think they do stalkers or reanimators, or tall legged. Yeah, they're all in the middle. I killed, managed to kill one like turn one and then round two, Mortarian two of them were in the middle, one blow up, Mortarian blow up.

And it was just this mortal wounds crater in the middle of that. How were your first games? Do you remember at all? Yeah, I was against black templates who are very efficient into walks because everything is low AP and damage to the best.

So they're all two wings with a fiber field in their plane. So basically, we both stood in the middle of the board looking at each other kicking a football back before us until I managed to break a gap in his line with the flash gets, they got through his crusade, squirt with remalders in it. And after that I was able to like get to the squishy guns. There was a point where I charged a day-loss land raider with the flameers.

Redeemer. I charged at the squad of knobs. You already over watched, that was fine. I was like, yeah, I'm sweet.

I've done like eight damage to this land raider and then in his tentings like big guns down the other side. Goodbye. I picked knobs. I was like, OK, let's learn.

I've got about that. My first one doesn't really bother playing. But in that game, we scored about the same on primary. He's got 32 and I scored 31.

But because I was able to hold him in the middle and just have more units, I just smashed him on secondary because I could get around the table. So I was like, I'm fine with this, not going anywhere for three turns. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Ended up. The caption is out post to fit in way to win the game. Are you called 100?

You've heard about I was playing Imperial Guard Army who had a very small number of units and I took, I was tactical. He went thick, so he was trying to kill my characters and spread around the board. I don't know why, I don't think the spread around the board secondary was a good choice for him. He didn't have enough units.

But it basically had movement. That could get there. Possibly. I mean, as fast units.

But the problem was, you just didn't have enough. So he only needed to lose three vehicles and he basically couldn't ever do it again. And he had about a third of his army tied up in one unit of being played. So that got stuck in the corner and I just hid from it the whole game.

I think it shot me once in the game and I just picked off the rest of it and scored a one to basically. So it's quite, it's quite straightforward game in the end. Terrific. He also got 100.

How did he do that? So I played Tyranids. I think again, a slightly less experienced player, which probably have he played in my favourite there. But running the space walls as the storm mounts gives me a lot of movement as well.

So with the boy servos in it, I could basically get straight up into his sort of front line, have those objectives. Even if he kicks them back to me, I'm going to have units close enough, just kicking straight back. And I think it was pretty much Modafang that kind of did the work. So hit his non-emissary, didn't kill it in the first round.

He attacked it back, didn't kill Modafang. Modafang killed it, consolidated into another unit, killed that, and basically just carried on doing that for a little while and tied up one half of the board where everything else could then sort of move out and then round the base. He did indeed. Modafang has gross.

He got a couple of his three rounds of fighting perk on that phase in that game. Just a nice name as well. Not to the kind of like imperative simplicity once he did most things. Like Zero-O-C does anything else, but with the advancing charge to throw him or something.

And I think I got lucky in secondaries as well. I also finished with Capture enemy Outpost at that point there was nothing else to do. It was all mine. Well no, it was a good fun game.

But I despite lack of experience. He was there, he was getting his positioning and stuff. But I think it was just, again, I was good into the horde stuff and good into the monsters. Yeah.

Match-ups important isn't it? Yeah. It's almost as important as player skill sometimes. Definitely.

I think it's also like the internal match-ups. Like you match up your units into the right things. Something I learned in the second tournament, one of the units that did me very well in the Mystic Fall Down was wrong to take into the Wider meta. Because I didn't get up against the game.

It was just right on that day. We'll get to that. Well then, I was like, your first game, 76. Your lowest scoring.

Well, my first game, 99. Yeah, yeah. It was a bit of a, it was a bit of a, it was a really good match-up for me. Well leaders, they can't shoot.

Chaos shoots and fights really, really well at the moment. Certainly some under-cost of units which are going to change. Or go back at all that it used to be. But yeah, real favorite match-up, really great opponent, just not used to compared.

Warhammer hasn't played many games of 10th. And that was his first tournament, right? I think it was his first game. He just lost it really bigly in the staging.

He didn't stage correctly. Angron was far too far away to be effective. There were no big charge opportunities. And with my army's speed, I was able to get every objective, punted right up and he wasn't able to respond and kick him back at all.

So really sealed down the primary. I think what made the game the big kind of walkover was that Angron, you roll your blood-tight dice, whatever they're called at the start of the battle round. And because I went first, I was able to see if he had the dice necessary to resurrect Angron that turn. And knowing that I don't have to contend with Angron this time, I was able to play a really aggressive game and not have to think about screaming Angron out and where do I have to be?

Angron finally arrived in the final turn of the game and failed his 9th charge of the re-roll. And it was just a little lackluster to quorum. But we're going to read the chaff to it and talk through where things could be done differently. And then I think he chose violence in the following two games.

And I think he came a lot more fun. He's still a game particularly, I think he did really well. But it was lost in staging. It wasn't necessarily a big mistake in game.

He just didn't stop aggressively enough. Can I give a little plug to Callum? Callum was an amazing painter. He did a little bit of painting for me when I'm feeling lazy.

He sipped a paint on Instagram, SIPP underscore of underscore paint. And he is open to commissions. His army won best paint at the tournament. And my black legion contrast, Agrax, Baff army, might have killed a lot better, but he did not look a lot better at all.

Yeah, he's an extraordinary good painter. Yeah, I think it was a bit of an agrainer. Yeah, he was complaining about one unit and I was like, why? Look at it.

It's brilliant. I've got the placements here. He came 15th in the end, but he had about a time of against two. But then his last game, 97 th in the end, he's called.

Got some redemption there. I was trying to get some tips on world eaters before we went to the team tournament. And he's picking up the game real quick. I reached out to a few people for a few bit tips.

Let's just say the feedback is very cool. I was very thankful for everyone getting back to me, but it was a bit very cool. Callum's analysis of world eaters is just like a few paragraphs. So he's definitely going to watch.

Sorry. Yeah, I think learn quickly from mistakes. It was an experienced thing not to play a skill. My second game in the mystic tournament was against how I was not looking forward to that.

And I think truth be told, I won that by the skin of my teeth. He failed a couple of really easy charges. Who is it? Shadow?

Is it Shadow's eyesight? Far sight. Far sight deployed behind all of my play burst rollers behind a building. I couldn't see him.

Then he came round in a turn and because they've got massive bases in their vehicles, he had to use a lot of movement to get round. And then he failed the charge. And then on my turn, my tanks just turned around and blew him to pieces. But Jesus, you know they're really useful boxes we're using to carry all our models.

He was using that as his die strength. Yeah. There's just that many shots of these prices. You end up blocking six or with triple cyclics?

Yeah. Yeah. So maybe even two of them. It's something like I think it's 56.

If he's running the Coles that I would exemplar carry on, it's 56 shots with sustained hit one from turn two. Like AP2 damage two. It's just... Yeah.

My playing room's blinked and they were gone. Yeah. Yeah. Where the once was playing room he was just a blue ball of burning plasma.

But what Mortarium put in the work in that game he managed to survive a bit shooting and then got to him and just started killing a couple of key, just reducing his efficiency. Which I don't think I finished off many units but I just they may as well have been. Which I think is kind of what you do. I went tap to War tournament.

We both thought about doing a satinate and I thought about bringing it down because it was all vehicles. But I was too nervous to try fixed for the first time mid tournament. Yeah. I did.

Right. I had to secure No Man's Land to turn one in and gauge. I did score in gauge but got No Man's Land. Then I did score bring it down and attempt and target.

Then I think it was turn four is where I did the best. Area don't I will cleanse scored five and both of that. Oh nice. Just yeah.

I scored 45 a primary. He only scored 30. Yeah. That sounds quite as for Tal vs Deathguard if you're doing well.

Yeah. I think there's a tipping point with that kind of matchup. If you can break through, yeah, then you've got it. I think now a lot of the Tal lists are starting to run a single devil fish with breaches in the character five blade because they're good at shifting you off an objective.

Like the crisis suits will kill you off an objective but they won't necessarily get onto themselves. Whereas breaches in the devil fish will kill you off the objective and then when you charge them they can jump back on the bus. I say on the objective. I faced that exact setup in the two tournament actually in the last game.

Effective? No. But more on that later. Yeah.

Yeah. Were there any standout moments in the mistake one or standout mistakes? No. I'll give one.

Isaac beating me soundly thoroughly in the top table to take to on it. Well, yeah. I was at mistake or I stand at my own. No, I stand at my moment.

It was just really well played. I had effectively nowhere to go for the whole game. I couldn't see any mistakes to make the most of. I'm into a sort of lever, leaves and points out of very kind of good.

I think the big thing we could all agree on is playing with Steve as middle as better players. We thought we were playing each other round too. We both got to it because we always end up playing each other. But it was a nice end to the game.

I think chaos efficiency saved me game too where I forgot to bring my units of letter A down in the second turn. And it was one of those moments where it was like, I've shot with one unit and this wherever I put the player down isn't really going to impact what's going forward. But yeah, it's all you don't bring them in. But my forge things both spiked massively and just ripped through two units, like two full units of gravis bodies and then my accursed cultists, I think the six big boys just ripped apart a 10 man squad or six man squad of eradicators.

And so when the player has dropped in, it was just a bit like I can use them just to score some points now. That's a good example of what you said only about the internal alignment of some units facing other units. If you get that match up right, it's perfect. So forge fiends three damage high strength.

Yeah, definitely wounds. Yeah, just three wound gravis, Marines who are really tough are not at all fucking tough. Okay, it's forge fiends and I think I was really worried about that game because of all the flamers that are in a silent design, but because of that big second turn, it just meant that it was the flamest roll gun that I got with the flamest roll. But with all these threats, yeah.

So I think that was a mistake that if I'm roll high would have been a bit more costly than it was. Yeah, I should learn that before I lost that fight. My squad is definitely turn it isn't a turn four. So she'll end.

No, the second match, I think was I was going to assist us and I was running at like five Megan Obes, twin kill saws and a big mech with Gus and four field intercystas that were fantastically basic took a flank on their own and just walked onto his home objective. I got the ex-assists, all the missiles, killed them into what I was it was a match if I was quite scared because I don't have a lot of in that particular, so I have a lot of damage output. It was a lot of really tough units and just designed to stick on objectives and the triple melters out of it just bear with my trucks so easily. It was just like I'm going to shoot your truck, it's 10 damage.

Okay, miracle dice. And then all the bolters just did with boys. So I was really leaning on those tough lads. There's some sort of miracle dice combos.

I don't know detail, I've listened to some experts talk about it, but you can manipulate so many things with miracle dice and there's no phase or unit restriction like you've heard. So you can pile dice in and you get loads more over course and games and stuff dying and whatever. So you can really kind of load your damage and your efficiency where you need it and you can expend with the team's thought on it, we'll talk on a bit, but I find that you can insert a one on a save, you know you're not going to make any way and then recycle it using something in the unit. So you basically go and get some sort of attachment in the unit that if you expend a dice you can reroll it and retrieve it.

Oh, he's got an RP3, okay, it's a six-up set. If someone used that one and then I'm going to get into the miracle dice because I've used this ability and then I can get one or maybe a four or whatever. Yeah and that was a bit of a... Oh, all right.

Nice. Well done cheating, this is just ridiculous. Yeah, the miracle dice do feel like pre-nerfate dice, but I can't think, I can't remember exactly what the combo is, but basically just these miracle dice all become sixes and go through the steps and your truck's out. It was just the outcome of it.

I guess it's just the lack of a big sort of wraith knight equivalent unit for that kind of against the effectiveness that the thing I said, not a top tier army and therefore the miracle dice is probably not it's not. Yeah, I think there's a lot of worry on that they'll struggle because they don't have any strength eight, I don't think, in their index. Yeah, the most is a strength nine. So yeah, the most is their strongest thing, but being able to use the miracle dice like my melted just gets.

Yeah, that was a weird spot because that strength nine isn't quite enough. It's like no killer. Yeah, but even then it's not. No, yeah, because you're in the number four.

It's it's a really good into like term like I guess. Like vehicle. We need a three. Yeah, so then they've got a four up.

It's like 50-50 if they save it, but I thought in the law, last count ends are going to be the bit for the Imperium. Sure. The big anti-sanction for the melt is always a bit like low down and the rules have held, isn't it? Yeah, I think it's something if you hit something, it vaporizes.

I guess with the the Mouter X damage, which obviously you only can't modify to reduce. You're kind of always having that extra two on the handheld four on some of the bigger ones, so that's an enormous amount of damage that can come through. I think it's one of those things that comes from when you shift from like the shift from like the 10, where the Mouter was like pinnacle of handheld anti-tank. You have to have a Mouter.

Yeah. And then you've got loads of stuff with them now. I mean, a freak. So why wouldn't you?

Because the wall gear. Yeah, but you then come into 10th and you're going, oh Christ, like I thought I'd loads of anti-tank. I like I don't actually I've got anti-le infantry or anti-lank vehicles, you know, they'll kill a land speeder, but they're not going to take out a land raider. So my empathetic like horse that have plus one to wound against vehicles.

But on the Mouter, it's a four. I mean, I'm thankful that is a four, but still. And then they've got the cracker missile to follow up. Yeah, I do like the black wall that's there.

They're very tough. I think it's called them first. They're trash cans. Trash cans.

Yeah. Yeah, they've always been a bit of an unsung sort of unit for Deathguard. They've always just been a solidly good movement, like decent shooting. Weirdly good melee as well.

Yeah, they can tank, but so you don't tank. Clean cough a couple of guys. And you can run them in units of three. Yeah, they're reminiscent of old school land speeders.

Yeah. Like you can run them in units of three, you can run them in units of three, you've had a Mouter gun, they had like a flainer or heavy vultur. That's kind of deathly equivalent. I'm going to get two more so I can run two units of two.

That fills all the efficiency. There's 200 points each then. Yeah. So if you've got your highlight or massive cock up that you'd like to show.

So I think it was definitely interesting that three games, because basically my first and third game were against, I guess, conventional armies, that was normal damage. You're getting saved. You're kind of even take with that sort of thing. Yeah.

Against yourself. It was just that Mouter Woundau put. That was in terms, by the way. 1000 Suns, yeah.

So it was very much, I've got a couple of feeling my pains. Nothing else that can really counter that. I need to get up close to really do anything. And then again, my units that do have a feeling of pains are dreadnought.

It's just that you don't see the game as well. Because everything that 1000 Suns are good at, Deviling's Mortal Williams, Short to Medium Rage 5 power, Spacer was walking into it. Yeah. So you kind of stay, you're up into the middle and I'm like, cool.

Now we can unleash the entire army on two or 15 years. And just pick it apart and... Yeah. That's when we played before the tournament.

Right. I fell on the same thing. Yeah. Because you just deployed on the back edge of your table and say, well, are you either staying, mind upon?

Is there anything for the game? Yeah. Or I walk into your guns and I have to walk into your guns. Yeah.

Otherwise I don't do anything. Yeah. That's nasty. Second game with Cytothire as well and your army has so many characters.

Oh yeah. So you score one with as well. Yeah. I think that's even though I've got a lot of characters in it and I'm from a very hero, hammery.

Yeah. Not necessarily the best competitive list but... I'm as intended. Yeah.

But the big unit there is the Logan Grimnath, the Thunderbolt, the World of War, the Team tournament because I know one of having done the secret analysis, your game against the thousands was one of the biggest positive swings against what we thought we were going to get. Just that was a really stomp. Spatial. And that was not the case in Team tournament.

Yeah. It was, yeah. Like you say, it was kind of knowing what could come out of them and what units could maybe chuck that out and then thinking, okay, I can make heavy use of the epic challenge strategy. I mean, I hate to pick off those characters, get rid of this about point.

Nice. Which, yeah, definitely. I think it was up with win but like you say, it wasn't quite the more points the difference. Should we move on to the teams or them?

I think it's just worth it. Thank you for organizing it, John. Yeah, it was really good though. Yeah, come on.

Come on. Yeah, they go really well, I think. Yeah, the Mystic Ones. Policing to sort of take it to immediately seem to sort of like sell to a good number.

Yeah, which is nice to see. Yeah, we got another one in February and then looking at other venues for a bigger one, a bigger one date but that is more organisation than I maybe initially thought. It's kind of long. Yeah.

That should be towards the end of the year. Nice. Yeah, the big got teams won. So, yeah, we all went together as Mystic Games.

I think we put in an Admiral effort. Great. Well, 6, was that where we finished? Yeah, it was 6 out of 8.

Yeah. But the first were leagues ahead, right? And then second to 6 were close. Yeah, you effectively had three tiers.

You had the top team who were very, very much the top team. The bottom team who were very much positive. And then you had the other six teams in the middle, all effectively on one win, one draw, one last or a slight no. We were doing three draws.

Yeah. Which gets you the kind of effectively the same. You have this kind of block in the middle. And then from there you've just got little tiebreaker things like the number of wins and the number of points in it.

Yeah, it's more than about the individual performance rather than the team performance. So I'm saying joint second. Okay. By the way.

Okay. Cool. Cool. I'll take that.

Yeah, I'll take that. Yeah, it comes with the joint second. Yeah, joint second. Cool.

Go through the pairings again just as a quick recap because now that we've done it. We didn't quite do it quite right in the last podcast. Or we explained it. Yeah.

The description was imperfect. Yeah. It had room for improvement. And I'm going to say, Steve, can you explain it now?

It's not time to do it. I couldn't, I can basically tell you there's a combination of, you put armies forward to defend. The other team puts two attackers in and then you choose which of those attackers attacks your defender and you choose which. And then there's some kind of flipping round, it repeats.

And then at the end of it, you've got two leftovers, one from each team and they fight each other. Yeah. And at the end of all of that, the five players on each team are matched up in pairs. And the table selection is what threw me.

So there's three different terrain types at the tournament. There's WTC, which is generally a dense terrain set up, UKTC, which is kind of middle in. Oh yeah, maybe spast mid lane and then GW, which is just nice middle of the ground. And we're all very used to GW as well.

Yeah. We're at the shop. Yeah. Yeah.

Would you like to, how do you want to do it, John? I've got the pairings here because I took some photos in the tournament. Well, because this is audio, I think it needs a bit of description. Steve has come very well prepared for this.

I thought I was prepared by writing some notes, but you've got print outs of the pictures you've taken of the match ups. I've got some, you've got the matrix there as well. I've got the matrix, which was, you had your own secret matrix. Yeah.

So you have three documents, right? One is the matrix, which is how we wanted to do pairings and some tips for all of us, going into specific match ups. Which was helpful. I'm glad someone read it because I probably didn't read it enough.

I read it for the last game. I read it for the last game. I read it for the last game. I read it for the last game.

I read it for the last game. And I killed the thing that it said to kill. And it worked. This is the matrix.

So if I'm blaming anybody, it's John off. My other document is probably the pairings for each round. Oh, OK. Yeah.

And then the third document, which is Top Secret, classified is the analysis of performance. OK. We're certain members of the table are slightly nervous about it. Yeah.

None of us knew we would get the performance. No, we didn't. And it's actually against most business regulations to bring up unknown faults in a performance management review. You've done some forewarning.

There's no legal kind of boundaries here. It's not a business yet. Yeah. Don't be able to have the HR team.

So you're fine. So we can bully you all. Podcast log. I'm looking forward to the secret analysis.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I've got some notes on my games, like I said. I mean, I played Cassodi's twice.

You sounded really happy about it. Yeah. And there was potentially the chance of playing number third time, because the last team, Cassodi's, I think. And I just didn't want to do that for a third time.

That would have been miserable. I think I did all right. I mean, I got kind of screwed in the first game. I went fixed all day, fixed secondarys, cleanse and deploy temple helmets, which really actually works for a deathguard.

And I took the exact same list that I had at the mystic tournament. Now, it probably isn't the most efficient at scoring those secondarys, but it did quite well. But in that first game, I just got denied the middle of the board. And I just couldn't deploy my temple helmets.

Yeah. Cassodi's have some really annoying shenanigans. Which is really good against my deathguard with AP1, 2 damage to have saves, reduce damage by 1, have a 4-work Philno Payne. It fight first.

Fight first. It just kind of knolled what I could do. My fetid bloke drone, one of the flamers, put in the work against Cassodi's though. The 2D6 anti-immetry.

Oh, it loved it. Yeah, that's only the new head. Yeah. But yeah, that first game, he blocked my movement really well.

And just I should have, because it was perked the foe. And I went second. I did make mistakes where I should have foul units back. And they kind of, I didn't expect them to die, but because they died in my turn, it tipped over his kill more.

Which, yeah. What was their points going on? I've only got my names for this one. Yeah.

But first one was 69 to 100. Then there was 68 to 79. And then my last game was 82 to 79. Because I think we, well, when we get to know that, teams won.

We probably want to think a bit more about the matchup. So the way we're probably a bit more realistic about the points and the predicted result. So we predicted a draw for your game against Cassodi's. Yeah.

Maybe a bit of a mistake. I think probably. I think it's also a bit of a, just a lack of experience playing all these different armies. Yeah, I agree.

It's kind of hard to predict. It's kind of also mentioned as well. It's very different from the shot better. For what we used to go into a, I guess, more general meta.

Yeah. Just for us to find out in the works we're guessing how we're going to do. In that first round, we were playing against the ultimate winners of the tournament. Who, we knew going in, we're going to win the tournament.

Yeah. Just because the five players they had were all in the very high echolons of, you know, what kind of play a lot of the tournaments? Yeah. They've been kind of off the back of GTs, LGT, like proper, proper business.

Yeah. Which is great. Yeah. Yeah.

And they showed us what that top tier of play is like, for the most part, I think. You were grand. Yeah. I was really happy with my game in that first round, because I got clumps with the Miramax, say, thousands, thousands, thousands.

And this dude's like big, 800, thousands, you know, he's a very good player. And I only lost by 12 points. That was good. And I was like, yeah, I'm doing right here against the big fella.

So I was pleased with that. Yeah. Yeah. My first game I was match up with Chaos Demons, which should be a good match up for me.

And it was my blunder of the day for that tournament. Turns out it was my list building, because I built a list of tough units because it's an objective, and they just didn't have the kill pressure. So I should be, it should be a good match up for me, because of all of the anti-monster that's in Orcs. And I didn't have enough of it to finish anything off.

So my wire turn just bounced off these six great demons. And there's like a little series of messages in the bot's up groups. Like, turn one, my message was pretty confident. Turn two was a bit of a shaky turn two, but can probably still squeak a win.

Turn three was probably only a close last. And turn four was where the fuck am I on? I picked up four of my models. Really nice chat play against.

And we spoke afterwards and he said, I think you should have taken fixed and gone with bring it down and assassinate, because his list is sixth great lead. Yeah. And I agreed if I had the beast boss and the beast man, the boy's battle was missing. Yeah.

So it was the lesson learned there was don't take lessons from your local matter too seriously in the wide world. I think it's too important. One is and I let this get you a few weeks ago, when I split my old fire into your rocks too much, thought I would kill a lot and just bounced off everything. So instead of killing a couple of units effectively, I tried to kill five units and didn't do anything.

So split and focusing fire is important. Learn that lesson periodically when I screw it up. And the other one is the skeelist that you get that team tournament. So that guy specifically put in a weird list.

Yeah, as a proper stat checklist. Did he get you? Yeah, how the fuck did you kill six great? Well, I was trying to tell him he was said he played like a knight, this was only like his seventh or eight game in tenth.

That's it. So he brought that list because it's a relatively easy list of pilots. It's a low-level count. My stuff just doesn't die.

I'm going to put it on objectives and I'm asking you the question. Can you do it? Yeah, it's a cool list as well. It's very, very well.

The new ones were well painted. Yeah, he was a very bunchitzy style, something like a creature caster, keeper of cigarettes and stuff. It was lovely. And a nice chat as well.

Yeah, I think that whole team by and large, let's say, were really nice. I had several chats with that team throughout the day. They were really good guys. They went to the corner shop.

Yeah, I had a proper flex after beating their sits on the ground. They went to the corner shop, brought a crate of beers and we're drinking beers for the rest of the dorm. It might be in the morning. Yeah, yeah.

Top, we should have done that. Yeah, I learned to break that. They sat in the corner and just smashed the case of madness. Three to five.

Good lads. Yeah, I had an interesting game one. Were explaining it to the sisters and quite well, sort of placed sisters player in the UK and well at large. I'm coming back to the questions at the start of the game that you asked.

Have you got any torrent fight first, precision? So you kind of know what you're dealing with. A lot of torrents at sisters player precision. I've only got that epic challenge.

So we kind of disreconced. Your army is particularly not weak per se, but if you can apply precision to your army, take out key characters, you certainly get that out. Four biggest units fall apart quickly because they benefit a lot from the characters. And his teammate was playing a virtually identical list to me.

Three of the four counts lists were the accursed cultists, chosen bills, the councilors, which is the one I was up. Yeah, so we kind of went through those questions. And he got his chest clock out. And last episode, you know, you regularly listen out there.

You'll learn that Steve had told me to be strict on the chest clock. Call my opponent up for nonsense so I can kind of get found again. And he put it down and said, I want to use this because I often time out playing sisters because there's a lot of stuff. And I was like, yeah, great, I have to use it.

I deployed my first unit, you know, cultists, seconds to put down to ten little models, but my line, obviously you hit the chest clock. Just put your right now down. I start putting my next unit down. Finish, click the clock and he clicks it back instantly.

And I notice he's right on the board already. And I was like, all right, would you mind, we're on a chest clock like you're using my time to deploy? Would you mind if you just wait until I clock things like, yeah, okay, okay. And then I deployed another unit and then there's four or five not even click the clock yet.

You're deploying in my time. What shouldn't be on the board? What's technically deployed? And he pointed it to the right, I was like, right, can you take the rest off the table, please?

And he said, why? He said, why? He said, why should he deploy in my time? What's the point in the clock down?

Unless you don't know how to counter deploy. Yeah, yeah. Like what is on the board and what is not? That's just not how you deploy.

So it's very confusing in a tension center. So he took off the board and was deployed normally after that. Game starts and it's all right. We're having a nice time and then gets to turn two and he pops you out of his rhino and he starts shooting my cultist with a dark commune.

And he says, sorry, backtrack second. Turn one, he pops two assassins out onto the mid board and goes, yeah, they've got precision. And I was like, all right, I'm really sorry. I completely forgot.

And I said, OK, you know, we just started this one unit. Yeah, I did ask to start the game. So we'd appreciate that. I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Turn two, some sisters pop out of the rhino and start shooting my first hits. He then says that one of the guns in that unit confers precision and the psycho two plus, which is a natural to a dark commune whose character is a psycho and is quite squishy. And I did stop him and went, look, I really clearly asked you to start the game. Do you have any precision units?

You told me no. You've now told me there's two that you've got a good hit. You're half way through the game. One of them is particularly good at killing my list.

And you know, I didn't point out to him, but his teammates got the same list. He knows exactly how to play against my list. And he's like, it's not going to kill it. Really?

And I was like, it might do. Like, you've got the shots. Like, we're speculating here. It's an actual positioning.

And I had the movement to actually have hidden my character. Yeah, but it was. So I did say to him, had I known that, I would have just plonked him behind this wall. Because it was ground floor closed.

I could have just hidden him. And he was like, yeah, sorry. And so what else in your army has precision? And he stepped back and looked through.

And every bloody unit on the board had one of these bolters in it. And he's like, yeah, they've all got it. And I just thought, this is somebody that has tailored a list to counter this. Because that's a well-written list, if you're with a chaos meta at the moment.

Not disclosed it. Only disclosed it when it's pushed, comes to shove. And it just felt really dirty. And it sours the game after that.

Because I just thought, oh, right, you say. I don't know what's going on anymore. And the next kind of faux pas was, playing at a chess clock. He's running out of time.

He's not got long left. He's maybe got 12 minutes, 10 minutes. And I've got 35. And he forgets to click the clock.

So I'm using about a minute of his turn. And he notices and clicked it. And being sporting, I actually said to him, when it comes to my interaction with your turn, when I switch back, we'll let it run for a bit. It's just to balance this out.

Because let's play fairly. So he calls him Overwatch with one of those sisters tanks with 50 million billion. 40,000 flameers. And I said, get to leave it.

And you do this. He then plays for about two minutes, two and a half minutes. Quite a long Overwatch, one of the longest I've ever seen. And then clicks it back and we carry on.

I beat him, so it was 90 something. I've got it here. I'm like something 60. It was a 16-4 win, 95-64.

So he was not going to win that game. As we're kind of nearing the last few minutes, he's just terms talking to his friend. And he's like, yeah, really big mistake. It's quite a pretty cost to me.

I let the clock run in his turn. And I've run out of time now. Didn't mention that I'd given him more time than he'd spent. And as I was trying to rush through dice rolls and get him to pay attention, he was going to make while you're rushing.

You've got 10 minutes left. And I was like, but I'm still in your turn. I've got a whole other turn to play after this. I'm just flocking back in your turn.
