南ロンドンにおもしろいアーケードがあります。レストランやお店があります。ここに、いろいろな国の文化があります。 ロンドンにはいろいろな国の人が住んでいます。イギリス出身の人でも、家族のルーツはいろいろです。私は先週、南ロンドンのブリクストンマーケットに行きました。写真を見てください。どこの国のお店か、わかりますか。 このマーケットはもともと古い商店街でした。昔からある野菜や果物の店や、雑貨屋はアフロカリビアン系の人がやっているようです。魚屋も多いです。アジアやラテンアメリカのお店もあります。駅から近くて便利です。２０００年代には開発業者に売られて、新しいビルができる計画があったそうです。でも、町の歴史と文化を守るために、店や地元の人たちが反対して大きなキャンペーンを行い、計画がなくなりました。それから、小さくて個性的な新しいお店がマーケットの中に増えました。　リーズナブルでおいしいご飯が食べられる、人気の場所になりました。今日はどこで食べようか、考えるのが楽しいです。 There is an interesting arcade in South London. There are restaurants and shops. There are many different national cultures here. There are people from many different countries living in London. Even people from the UK have different family roots. I went to Brixton Market in South London last week. Look at the picture (on my website). Can you tell which country the shops are from? This market was originally an old shopping street. The old vegetable and fruit shops and the general stores seem to be run by Afro-Caribbean people. There are also many fish shops. There are Asian and Latin American shops as well. It is conveniently close to the train station; in the 2000s there were plans to sell it to a developer and build a new building there. But there was a big campaign against it by shops and locals to preserve the history and culture of the town, and the plans disappeared. Since then, small, unique new shops have sprung up in the market.　It has become a popular place to eat, with good, reasonably priced food. I enjoy thinking about where to eat today.
