157: Regular Israel vs Irregular Palestine

Talk Back to MeAs the Levant once again gathers the attention of the world, we have an opportunity to learn about not only how wars are fought, but how those similarities are repeated the world over. Israel, being considered a nation-state, is expected to engage in regular warfare, against an opponent not held to the same standard in political discourse. The importance of this war remains immensely personal to some, but to all, it serves as a model by which to understand one form of asymmetrical warfare. And when we look into the history of war, it's not as unusual as the media portrays.
