Mike, Nate, & Jessica talk about the 14 Holy Helpers (in German Vierzehn Nothelfer, & in Latin Quattuordecim auxiliatores), for reasons that will become clear later this month. (Note: if you are also following us on twitter [link below] this is not the same reason for this month's daily prayer intention.) The 14 Holy Helpers: Agathius (Acacius), St. Blaise, St. Christopher, St. Cyriacus, St. Denis, St Elmo(Erasmus ) St. Eustace, St. George, St. Giles, St. Pantaleon (Pantaleimon), St. Vitus (Guy), St. Catherine of Alexandria, St. Barbara, and St. Margaret (Marina) of Antioch. They talk about the history of the group, the original 3 Holy Maids (& the poem about them), what each saint's feast day & related patronages are, and more.
