158: Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched? | Stealing Beauty (1996)

Imagine a wanderlust summer  in a sun drenched villa on the hill in Tuscany. That's where this film takes us in a perfect summer film. This being Liv Tyler's first starring role is insane because she floats through this whole film like the beautiful dream that she is. Me and Jai took a walk down memory lane with our own similar stories of unforgettable summers away from home. We didn't find out a lot in terms of behind the scenes, but we do touch on the questionable history of the directors previous works. Including some aspects of this story which could have done without the male gaze. As always we get into the fashion and music which are top notch. This has sleeper soundtrack you may not be expecting with Portishead, Hole, Liz Phair, Nina Simone, etc...
