Kyle Fleischmann var 24 år gammal när han en kväll i november 2007 gick ut med sina vänner i Charlotte, North Carolina. De gick på en komedishow, gick vidare till en bar och under kvällen började gruppen dra sig hemåt, en efter en. Kyle blev kvar ensam. Någon gång efter klockan två lämnade han baren och fångades av övervakningskameror när han gick genom centrum. Han hördes aldrig av igen. Trots sökinsatser, tips från allmänheten och flera uppmärksammade teorier har ingen kunnat säga säkert vad som hände den natten.
