159 - Peace and Churros

Philippians 2:19-20 I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be cheered by news of you. For I have no one like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare. After a conversation with a friend, I saw this verse in a new light. My friend takes genuine care of those that no one else is concerned about. Just as Paul trusted Timothy’s heart for the Philippians, so God entrusts His heart to us. Sometimes He gives us His genuine concern for a group of people, even a whole country, and sometimes it’s just for one.  I pray for us to be filled afresh with His genuine concern for those He has entrusted to us.
