16 - 200 Men Came Forward

This week, I look back: Thirteen years ago (11/5/2010 & 11/12/2010), a monumental event forever changed the narrative for male survivors of sexual trauma. Oprah Winfrey's "200 Men Come Forward" television event marked a historic milestone in broadcast history by bringing together 200 brave male survivors and their partners in a courageous and empowering display of solidarity. This unprecedented event was more than a mere broadcast; it was a watershed moment of hope and empowerment for countless survivors worldwide. The impact of those episodes continue to reverberate; igniting conversations, shattering stigmas, and providing a platform for the silenced voices of male survivors to be heard and acknowledged.
