I speak with James Evans, founder and CEO of C.A.R.E, a non-profit organization focused on creating equitable relationships between shelters/rescues and the communities they partner with. James talks about the lack of diversity, equity and inclusion in the 99-billion-dollar pet industry, which is made up in part by the retail sales of animals and pet supplies, pet adoption and animal welfare legislation.
