16. Letting God In

When impatience, anger, or discontent wells up in our hearts, these are signs that we are mothering in our own strength, not His. Just as our cell phones die after being used for so long, our souls also lose power and need to be recharged after so much use. We might have the best intentions, but if we’re running on empty we have nothing left to give. The best way to have success as mothers (or in anything) is to delight in God’s word. As our minds are renewed, we are transformed more and more like the image of Jesus.
