#160 – Kim Hix
from Something Significant With Matt Gersper Hosted by Happy Living
My special guest star for episode #160 is Kim Hix. She’s a life-long fitness & health fanatic, certified personal trainer since 2004, Crossfit instructor, Certified Nutrition Counselor, and a Figure Show competitor, too, with 21 competitions under her belt, including 18 National Qualifying wins and 2 National events. But, losing her precious daughter to fentanyl poisoning changed everything in an instant. From that devastating pain, Kim decided to do whatever she could to warn other parents and youth about this deadly opioid that’s become the leading cause of death for people 18-45. Kim, I LOVE your determination to fight through the pain and devastation of losing the love of your life on February 27, 2022, at 5:27 pm. And I ADMIRE your strength and resilience to share Kelsie’s story to educate others about the dangerousness and pervasiveness of fentanyl poisoning that has become the leading cause of death for people 18-45 and (this is hard to imagine) it’s killing over 300 people every day. And I’m super HONORED that you’ve shared your courageous, fierce, and deeply caring spirit on our show today. With love, Matt (a.k.a. Mr. Happy Living) Four more things for our listeners... 1.
