#161 - Abigail Shrier

In this episode of The Western Spirit we spoke with author and journalist Abigail Shrier who argues in her new book that the mental health crisis plaguing America's children isn't the kids' fault but the mental health experts'. Shrier explained that children experiencing the normal pangs of adolescence and their anxious parents are seeking answers from therapists, who are only too happy to explore what might be wrong — and to make money doing so. Lastly, we spoke about the reasons teenage girls are choosing to identify as the other sex in larger numbers than ever before and how this is a social contagion.
