Why should I be active on LinkedIn and what does "active" even mean?  Active means engaging and multi-faceted engaging is the goal. You can be commenting on posts. Following up in a DM if you were really moved or impacted by someone's post/comment. Connecting with people from posts or in your feed who you feel can add value to the direction you are headed. Proactively connecting with people in the position you want or people who would be hiring for that role. Engaging via DMs with your current network.
