My third dance audition in over 20 years once again reminded me that putting myself in uncomfortable situations, regardless of results, is beneficial for my personal and professional growth. Session Summary: * Step to Success: A step to your success is anything that moves your life and your business forward. Whether it’s an app, a book or an idea, you can apply something today that can help you succeed. Today’s step to success is assessing whether to invest in quality vs. quantity. * Dancer’s Dialect: The Dancer’s Dialect is the dancer’s language. I share dance terminology and concepts across different genres so you can see the correlations in your life and in your business. Today’s word is the waltz and how it relates to how things can no longer be fun. And the pressure to keep up with those around you. * Freestyle Flow: College parking structures are interesting to navigate sometimes. And this time I missed a dance film festival because I couldn’t figure out what was going on with the parking. LOL * Feature Presentation: My third dance audition in over twenty years was yet another great experience and I was reminded of the following: 1. Be aware of effort and ease. Know when to go full out and when to pull back. 2. Always carry water with you and stay hydrated. 3. Communicate and project your voice clearly. 4. Show a different side of you. How do you do this? Do different things than your normal routine. Make a list of 5 things you haven’t done or learned but would like to. My list includes surfing, clay pottery, guitar, tennis, and aerial yoga with silks. 5. Be supportive and kind to those around you.
