Colorado is an excellent place to be a musician, thanks to the state's supportive arts community. However, it can also be a tough place to make a living as a musician. There are a lot of bands competing for attention, and venues are often reluctant to pay for live music. As a result, many bands rely on merchandise sales and private events to stay afloat. It's not an easy business, but it can be very rewarding.
