163. "The Invisible Man" // Urban Roots // Perennial Artisan Ales//
from Fresh Hop Cinema · host Max Minardi and Jonny Summers: Craft Beer & Film Enthusiasts
What a whirlwind of an episode! In addition to announcing our first-annual FHC Beer Madness Tournament, we drank two delicious beers from Urban Roots Brewing and Smokehouse (Sacramento, CA) and Perennial Artisan Ales (St. Louis, MO). The first is an imperial IPA clocking in at 8.7% featuring Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops called "Bigger On the Inside." The second is a stout called "Coffee Stout" and comes in at a whopping 11.5% ABV. We also dissect the film adaptation (kind of) of the classic H.G. Wells novel "The Invisible Man." Plus, shout out to our friends at Dust Bowl Brewing for their tasty, new, year-round IPA "Peace, Love, & Haze." We manage to squeeze that in (pun intended) at the top of Hot & Bothered this week. It's definitely not one to miss! Episode Timeline: 0:00 Intro & Beer Madness Preview 7:00 "Bigger On the Inside" 12:53 Flick Picks: "Calibre" (2018) 17:55 "The Invisible Man" (Spoiler Free) 38:31 "Coffee Stout" 51:06 "Peace, Love, and Haze" 53:30 Hot & Bothered 1:12:41 The Invisible Man (Danger Zone) Please rate & review us wherever you listen to podcasts and, if you're so inclined, consider donating to the show via our Patreon page.
