163- Trek to Yomi

from Almost Accurate

It's been a deep... dark descent into the depths of looking for new content this week, but the boys have ascended from the darkness and pulled out a mostly formed gem. It's time to talk about the new game, Trek to Yomi! If you're a fan of classic samurai cinema, then this is a game that absolutely nails the theme and visual presentation that it's going for, so much more so than other games in its genre. If you're looking for a side scrolling version of Ghost of Tsushima however.... yeah you're going to want to look a bit further than this one. It's a great experience for sure (especially with those PlayStation Pulse 3D headsets) but as far as the combat goes it does get a bit repetitive. Speaking of repetitive...We've got more news this week! Well... same as every week we suppose but still.... we have some big TV shows that are returning soon! The Boys and Only Murders in the Building will both be back this June, Hocus Pocus 2 has finally dropped a release date (guess what, it's close to Halloween, who would've guessed that) and She Hulk has a new trailer and it's coming to Disney + in August! There's literally SO MUCH NEW STUFF that's coming out soon! Can't wait to revisit the 36 year old Top Gun next week...Anyways, bit of a shorter one for us this week, but Trek to Yomi is fun (ish) and there are a lot of things to be excited about coming soon, so GET HYPE. Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. The Two Pints Podcast! Formidable For almost the whole decade of “the noughties”, Will Mellor and Ralf Little defined the voice of a generation in the hit BBC show Two Pints of Lager & a Packet of Crisps”A decade later the boys reunited and launched The Two Pints podcast in May 2020, which is now into its fifth series. Enjoying the kind of banter that only true friends can have, Will and Ralf chat sh*t to each other, to fellow celebs and to guests with fascinating stories to tell...all over two pints, (or sometimes a cup of tea). Explicit The Throwback Podcast Dan Hanzus and Bob Castrone Dan Hanzus and Bob Castrone love listening to music- almost as much as they love hanging out in a garage and talking about it. On The Throwback Podcast, lifelong friends revisit important albums from their past and go through them--track by track-- with fresh ears. From the classics to the cringeworthy, every week is a throwback. Explicit HBO's Succession Podcast The official companion podcast for the HBO Original series Succession. Journalist and host Kara Swisher unpacks every episode of this final season with the show’s writers, producers, and directors. Plus, she taps real life experts outside the show – like business titans, whistleblowers, and political consultants – to find out just how terrifyingly accurate the world of Succession really is. You can stream all episodes of Succession and listen to the podcast on Max. The Official Succession Podcast is produced by HBO in conjunction with Pineapple Street Studios Explicit The X-Files Podcast LSG Media Dean and Josh love the X-Files almost as much as they love (and simultaneously hate, it's complicated) themselves. Be it their observations, jokes, or wild scenarios - one thing is clear - they will make themselves laugh a lot, but don't worry dear listener - they will have you convinced that it's all about you. The greatest crime and irony of this show is that tons of women show up to the live shows on Mixlr, and lots of the reviews suggest that they hate women (likely written by weird men). Subscribe and you'll love it -- or you'll hate it, but it's something that will stick with you no matter how much you wash. Explicit
