Júzcar was vroeger een “normaal” traditioneel Spaans stadje, met witgekalkte huizen. Totdat het in 2011 compleet blauw werd geverfd, om de film van “De Smurfen” te promoten. Deze kleur beviel de inwoners wel, dus besloten ze het zo te houden. Tegenwoordig is Juzcar een populaire bezienswaardigheid met als bijnaam “Juzcar het Smurfendorp” en is ook echt een van de must-sees van Andalusië.
