Autism awareness month is getting increasingly dangerous for autism moms. Why?Well, the loudest voices often mask lack of knowledge about the underlying causes for autism symptoms like stimming, nonverbal autism, sleep issues, pica, picky eating, tantrums and eloping. If you listen to the wrong people, you miss out on the keys to get your child to more independence and a better life. You end up believing that there's nothing you can do except coping, ABA, and being a proud autism mom.Autism acceptance and awareness without action and change leads to stagnation. From a biblical perspective, ignorance, pride and bitterness are problematic and/or sinful behaviours.
