166. Cueing, Alignment & Anatomy for the Yoga Teacher

from Ignite Ur Wellness Business · host Dr. Alison McLean DPT, ERYT, HHP

Modern Yoga is designed to fit the student's body, instead of making a students body fit a certain pose. There is a way to expertly guide your students through classes and private sessions where they experience autonomy and are safe.  It's the art of mindfully cueing, within the alignment of the student's own body.  Your cuing should allow the student to explore the boundaries of their own body, while challenging them to NOT take the path of least resistance.  Alignment helps the student to maintain the physical integrity of their body, while keeping them safe from injury. You can cue to keep the student in alignment while allowing them to explore sensations and energetic shifts beyond just the physicality of movement.  This episode is for the wellness practitioner who wishes to safely guide students through movement practices such as yoga and personal training while allowing them to explore and experience shifts beyond the physical.  Download the free 5 Day Training - Get Clients Blueprint: https://igniteurwellness.com/get-health-coaching-clients/ Book a free call with Alison here: https://igniteurwellness.com/business-coach-for-health-coaches/
