166. I Get Emotional, Baby

from Ravel · host Ravel LLC

Taking a suggestion from the voicemail box today, we consider the role of negative emotions in our lives and in our church and wonder why we're all so bent on stuffing them down and moving on. We discuss the embodiment of such emotions as what is actually called positive or negative, instead of the emotions themselves. As river water flowing through your fingers, emotions enter stage right and exit stage left; it's what we do with them while we share the stage that matters. And perhaps, as we learn to not identify with our emotions, we also are freed from identifying with the emotions put on us be others, like "bitter"!Our Sponsor: NOCD.com: effective, evidence-based treatment breaking the cycle of religious OCDMentioned in the episode: Heaven Bent Podcast66.
