Amy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes just 4 years ago, at the age of 25.In this episode Amy speaks about where she ‘started’ with her diabetes. She outlines how she struggled to accept her diagnosis and takes us through the ‘5 stages of grief’ she experienced.Following her ‘personal acceptance of her diabetes’, Amy grew confidence in her own management of the condition and has since created a diabetes specific social media profile, which has accumulated 30k + followers (instagram@type1amy / tiktok@type1amy).
