“In today’s frame many women are overextended - addicted to their mission to take care of other people’s needs. For all women who do too much, John is the answer. John is the inspiration. John is the positive change. John is the open door to a new way of living. John is a woman’s escape to wisdom.” John is rehearsing these lines in the studio before they go on. Merrilee walks in from makeup. Merrilee hears John’s recital. Merrilee begins to laugh - she keeps laughing with increasing intensity. She begins to cough and laugh. The producer steps in “we’re going to delay opening the show until Merrilee stops laughing.” Merrilee looks straight at John. John answers with locked eyes. They both begin to laugh and laugh and laugh. The producer says “We are done here. John and Merrilee, go dry out somewhere. I want you back here at 0 dark thirty tomorrow morning!” John and Merrilee head for the canteen- they’re still laughing. It’s John and Merrilee every day on Spotify.
