167: Think on These Things: Philippians 4:8–9

Send us Fan MailIn this episode, Pastor Keith explores Philippians 4:8–9, where the Apostle Paul exhorts believers to set their minds on that which reflects the character of God—truth, honor, justice, purity, beauty, and moral excellence. Paul writes, “If there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (v. 8). This is a call to intentional, Christ-centered meditation that aligns the believer’s thoughts with the revealed will of God in Scripture. Pastor Keith reminds us that godliness begins in the mind, and biblical thinking leads to biblical living. Paul continues, “What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you” (v. 9). In a world of distractions and distortions, this episode calls worshippers to renew their minds with truth and walk in the pattern of Christlike living, knowing that the God of peace will be near.
