#168 – Art Simon

My special guest star for episode #168 is Art Simon. He’s been a truly dear friend since way back in the 1980s when he took me under his wing and taught me to become a businessman. And Art learned from the very best, his father Bert Simon. Over the years, Art has honed his expertise in new product development, business turnaround, brand re-positioning, start-ups, China sourcing, mid-market consumer goods acquisitions, market positioning, and product design. The business love of his life for these past ten years has been a super cool and super fun company called Molly Mutts that makes dog beds, couch covers, pet blankets, car seat covers, crate covers, and more to delight you & your dog for the long haul. Art, I LOVE the focus, curiosity, and creativity you always bring to every business you’re involved in to make them operate better. And I ADMIRE the enthusiasm, joy, and boundless energy that you’ve brought to every business endeavor and your life, too for the forty-one years I’ve known and learned from you. And I’m super HAPPY that you’ve shared your fun-loving, never-ending, entrepreneurial spirit on our show today. With love, Matt (a.k.a. Mr. Happy Living) Four more things for our listeners... 1.
