Tiener Sena is gestopt met school en worstelt met de vraag wat ze wil worden. Haar familie ziet haar het liefst in ‘een goede baan’, maar zelf is ze liever bezig met voetbal en muziek. Verleidingen zoals drugs en snel geld probeert ze te negeren, in tegenstelling tot veel andere jongeren in haar Rotterdamse buurt. Strijder biedt een inkijk in de belevingswereld van jongeren, die te maken hebben met actuele uitdagingen zoals armoede, gebroken gezinnen, messengeweld en drugs.
