#169: ADHD Types and Do They Really Matter?
from Shining With ADHD by The Childhood Collective · host The Childhood Collective
What are the three types of ADHD? Whatever happened to ADD? And do I *really* need to know what type of ADHD my child has? As with many things in ADHD parenting, the answer is, yes and no. In today's episode, we break down the different types of ADHD and what you need to know about each type. Of course, the most important thing is understanding your unique child... and the subtypes are a great starting point! MEET OUR TEAMWe are Lori, Mallory, and Katie. Lori and Mallory are child psychologists, and Katie is a speech language pathologist. We’ve spent decades supporting thousands of families navigating ADHD. And we’re also moms: some of us raising kids with ADHD and some of us navigating it ourselves… which means we understand both the science and the real-life moments that don’t make it into textbooks.LINKS + RESOURCESEpisode #156: I Didn't Mean to Do That!
