169 // Champ Day

Authorities on backing slow horses, enthusiasts of spinning yarns. A week is a long time in horse racing, at least that's what we're hoping after last week's shitshow on Derby Day. It's Champion's Day at Flemington, and we see some of the best thoroughbreds in Australia battle it out in 3 weight for age grand finals. Will Imperatriz brain them down the straight, or will In Secret have her number? Will Mr Brightside follow up his outstanding run in the Cox Plate, or will Alligator Blood and Fangirl be the champion miler? Can Zaaki with his 3rd Champion's Stakes in a row, or will the most elite form in the country stand up with West Wind Blows? We discuss all of this, can some Sydney races as well. On The Drift, the self acclaimed biggest horse racing podcast on the Northside of Brisbane. We preview and review the Group 1 races across the Australian Thoroughbred Racing calendar, while providing best bets each week. We'll have a light hearted look at the racing industry, talking about topics that racing ethusiasts are interested in.
