16th June 2024 - Luke 15:11-32 - Steve Weston

from Christ Church Surbiton Hill · host Christ Church Surbiton Hill

On Sunday, we had the joy of worshipping God together as a whole church family... in my mind, there is nothing quite like it! As it was Father's Day, we heard about the story of the Prodigal Son (or The Loving Father as some call it). Jesus told this story to show just how much God loves his children (that's us by the way). Just like the younger son, there's so much in life that we're not satisfied about. The way we look, the way we live, our education our inner self. Something is lacking and we don't know what it is, but we know we're unsatisfied and we look elsewhere to meet our needs to be satisfied. How often do we take the things the God has given us and waste them, forgetting the giver completely. Head to our dedicated sermon series page to go deeper: www.ccsurbiton.org/sermons
