17: Abe & Barbara Feder of The Restoration House

A little about our guestsBarb and Abe are married and have been married 47 years, have two kids, Lisa and Aaron and started their business together 37 years ago. They started at such a young age, they didn’t know any better than to think it might ruin their relationship.Barb and Abe have developed friendships through their work and became very involved in Rotary International. Through their involvement with Rotary they have travelled and met many other people and learned about different cultures first-hand. A little about their businessAbe started in the framing business (pictures, artwork, memorabilia) in 1977 and Barb jumped right in. They started with a franchise, The Frame Factory which then became Framin' Works when they separated from the franchise. Now scaled down, The Restoration House continues on as a home-based business in Abe's workshop. One piece of advice (the nutshell version)Identify each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Be sure to develop each other to fill any voids and ask for outside help if you need it. And there is always a lot of luck needed to make it work.
