17) Finding a Purpose in your Career, Self education and Discipline with Jonny Rose

from CamBro Conversations · host Colin Campbell

Today, we are joined by Jonny Rose. Jonny leads the Marketing at Slater Menswear, host of the "30 Something Podcast" and a Digital Content Creator. Jonny shares his career journey that many of us go through in the UK, with a great insight into why he took some of these steps and what he learnt during each step. We discuss Jonny’s experiences when he went travelling after working in London. He explains why “Retirement won't be for me”, and how he needed a real purpose. This is where his self education mindset was really born and led to him going to New York for the Mountbatten programme. Following his time in New York and an encounter with Gary Vee, we learn about Jonny’s decision to commit to the family business and lead the Marketing department. He shared how he is helping to modernise their approach without losing why customers love Slaters in the first place. Lastly, we round off by going in on why discipline was the real key to Jonny finding his real purpose within his career and some of the sources he uses and advocates other young guys, in particular, use to develop themselves too Connect with Jonny: Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/iamjonnyrose/ Podcast - https://www.instagram.com/30somethinginterviews/ Connect with Colin: Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/col.cambro/
