You asked, we gon' tell!  Why is it that Indians went to Fiji in the first place?  If Fiji was a third world country and life was so hard then why emigrate there?  It wasn't that long ago so surely it could not have been that bad, right?  This week we get into it about the origins of our ancestors; where, how, and which Indians were recruited, the classist process, the differing opinions of whether indentureship was a blessing or a curse, and an introduction to the creation of a Fijian subculture.  As always, thank you very much to our listeners for being here with us through this process of growing and healing.
