17. Heather: Learning that good times and bad times can co-exist when you are a parent of a child with type 1 diabetes

Send us Fan MailIn this episode, I speak to Heather whos son Joe was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2019 about how her and her family navigated their first year of a type 1 diagnosis. The backdrop to our chat is a letter Heather wrote to Joe about their and his first year living with type 1 diabetes. The letter provides an open and emotional insight into what the first year has been like for the family. It documents the good and bad times and everything inbetween.
