17 - The Parable of the Open Palm

from Everyday Parables · host Cody True Hoskisson

In this episode we will discuss the benefits of having an open-palmed approach to life over a close-fisted one. We will also talk about what those terms mean in the context I am using them. So, tune in to find out! Here are some scriptures I mentioned and other scriptures that illustrate my point that I did not mention: In the New Testament: Luke 23:33-43 = Christ being crucified, forgiving the soldiers, and extending mercy to the thieves being crucified on either side of him. Please note: in not condemning the thief who reviled him, Christ did indeed extend mercy. John 20: 20-29 = an example of Jesus giving with open palms after He was resurrected. In using the King James version of the Bible, this is also the only mention we have that Christ was nailed to the cross when he was crucified. In the Book of Mormon: 3 Nephi 11:1-17 = another example of Christ ministering with open palms after He was resurrected.
