So basically we got ourselves a Tesla Model Y. I'm going to go and get this car again. They gave us a car and she apologized for giving it to me in white because she noticed that my model three is white. She goes, if I knew that I would have given you another color.
Don't worry, I'm going to confuse the fuck out of my neighbours. I'll probably give you the white interior. It's the only car I've ever driven where I needed the sunglasses for the inside of the car. Mate, is whoop.
Okay, yeah, let's go quick. So basically the interior is the white interior. Yeah, it looks alright. Yeah, it's not going to be an eight-row.
Mate, if you're a blue jeans kind of a guy or gal, it's not going to work. Even where mine's got the wood grain, it's got like a white Ikea. Yeah, it's no. It's a solid no on the white.
I've seen them on the road, right, where you can spot the white interior on mine. Oh, you can see it. Like it's a Tesla thing. Not even a brown or a Ferrari brown or anything.
It's a Tesla thing. People like it, you know you're out and not for me. Like it's pretty much standard. We had the Model Y that based last year, so the performance just got released.
It's got the carbon spoiler. It's not a bad looking car. It's a big car when you walk around it. No, it's not a three on stills.
It's a lot wider. It's a lot bigger. How was the backseat before? Maybe common straight away.
There's a lot of room here. Yeah, when I had Sparky last week and I was making five visits to the charging station, I was with a friend of mine at the time. I went to get a coffee and I got back. I was a Model Y next to it.
And he goes, oh, wow, that's a lot bigger. So even for a person not familiar with the Model nomenclature. He's spotted. They're the same.
We make a same ranking. It's a heavy car. It's a bigger car. It's just a bigger version.
But it's the same running. It's the same car. It's based on that's it. It's a lot bigger.
It's more a family car. The Y. I mean, okay, I got a family with my car. It's adequate.
But this got the hatch. We've gone through the features before. It's got the hatch. You can chuck things in and out.
The Australian models don't have the third row where the other C's models go with the third row of C's. That's disappointing. How can you fix that in the third row of that? Yeah, but that's quite quite fine.
I'd say push it in deep. If you've got kids under 10, right? It gives you the benefit that if you do need to take Grandma and Grandpa somewhere, you've got an extra C. Yeah, it could work.
That's very similar to the BMW did with the X5. You could option that third row. But do they? Well, people do.
Like the discovery, I guess. Yeah, let's just go. Let's do this first. But people do option it.
And the use car market, they're the faster sellers. Really? Yes. They go straight away.
Well, obviously, as I've got it, we don't. We really are the ass end of the world. We are. We're not going to give it to them, but we're not going to give it to you.
Just make it available for what one order it. We're lucky we're close to China. You're clearly already got the infrastructure to put the third row. So you're not reinventing it.

I mean, it's a really good family car. It's a good size. It's easy to park. It's easy to maneuver.
It's not a hard car to drive. And it's not, it's not, do you remember the base model, the suspension was very jumpy, very hard. Where this suspension, it's hard, but I think they've softened it a little bit. And it suits the type of car that is.
It feels a lot nicer than the base model. I found that on rough roads, it's suitable. But when you've got smooth, nearly tar roads, where they've got those little imperfections, you feel them. So, since it's quiet inside, it's steering's good.
Have you got to set all to performance, are you? Yeah, it's got sports. It's literally not in chill mode. No, no, no, it's basically, it's got 99 kilometres on it.
This is a brand, it smells brand new to how it got in when I was, to have my windows open. So basically, this is a brand spanker. It's even got, it's speed limited to 137 kilometres, it's flashing on the screen. And then it flashes delivery status for when we're updating.
So, it's pretty much, they just took the wrappers off and said, he'd go. So, I don't even know if it's been sort of programmed, or like, when you get a new delivery. So, what do you want me to look? Pedals and steering, celebrations in sport, steering in sport.
I think, and because I've already got an ID, I drive as ID, it matched all my temperature settings. It knew who I was when I got into this car. And on my phone app, it's got, I can slide across, if you own two Teslas, on the app, you slide across which car you're in. Which car you're in.
Well, so during my time with Spark, one of the things that a friend of mine, we went out for drives with a couple mates. Different mates, trying to introduce them to get their versions of what they think. One of the things that we, you know, was us was, and some of them had that one point. How long before, when your driver's license is suspended, does your electric car get blocked?

That locks the car, locks the car, allows you to do certain things. Yeah, but my ID is on my app, but my phone talks to the car. We have to sync the car. So, sometime in the future, will your driver's license, because don't be it, it's not just electric cars, you've got cars like, like, Ross's car gets over the ear updates.
Yeah, it's got the bit of guitar. So, how long in the future is it, and it's very possible, will your driver's license be linked to your car? Yeah. Now, your wife might be able to, you might be able to use your wife's digital thing to be in the car, so it knows there's a license person in the car.

Performance, I've come to it a few times. It's funny when you first got it, you just got it because you can. It does feel a bit heavy. It is heavier.
It's but still, it sparkles me. You hear this camera here too. So, basically, it's a quick car. It's about 110 grand, fully loaded with performance.
And make a fucking quick. There's nothing that quick at that price. There is nothing. No, definitely not.
There's no pole star. The top of my pole star has got nothing on this. There's no electric car that's this quick at that price. And I don't think there's any electric car that we've forced off.
Look, if it's all about puts, like, speed, this is the car. If you, there's other, you got other priorities and you're, it's your first foray into the EV world. It's still your car. Yeah, it is still your car, but maybe not the performance.
Right. You can get away with the base. So, you got a great. And you still got yourself a car.
This one's a lot better build. There's no rattles. We had that little latch rattle in the first way. So, I think they've done a really good job in the build quality.

You've got a full view of the road in front of you. Mine's got that sort of scallop on it. You can see the wheel arches, but the view in front of you's still all road because there's no engine in the bonnet. Yeah.
Right. The handling's not bad. What do you think? No, it feels like your car, but it feels heavier.
Right? It's in the performance mode for the steering and the throttle response and everything. So it feels very much the same. But it does feel like it needs a little bit more input to do things.
I still think adjustable suspension is the next step for these cars. Yes. But it's funny. Don't need to charge it.

Like elderly people like high riding cars, it's easy to see it's uncomfortable. It might be more plush than mine's. It needs a big car. I see what it's done.

They're just obviously the base models. The performance is done. Yeah. But there's more and more of the model while on the road because they're a really good alternative to some of the SUVs.
Do you think they should have put them like a little spoiler or something? It's got the turbo wheels. You can spot the performance from the carbon spoiler, the dual badge, dual engine badge and the wheels. But that's it.
There's nothing that says, Hey, look at the real farmers. Well, that's pretty much pain. Or even if you look at the model S. Unless you're a little bit of a driver.
Like even if you look at the model S. Unless you were an enthusiast. You would have no the difference between the P90 or the P80 and the P100. Yeah, other badge.

So that's like being a month later on in the car. So I've done four types of fuel with her own car, which was a 2012 C250. We did a live drive in the water. So it's averaging under 10 litres per hundred in the city.
So I've got four-cylinder turbo. And it's always a lot of traffic. Ten-year-old car. Well, ten-year-old car.
Taking kids to school and stop starting out in the office. You know, tanking fuel is costing me $120. So I'm still going to four-year-olds in the fuel every month. Now, realistically, I don't get a base model model Y, a lisest a thousand bucks a month.
And it's going to cost me how much out of my pocket for electricity. A hundred? Yeah, it's like a hundred. So I'm at 400.
So now the car has me 600. Yeah. Yeah, there is financial considerations to make. You can't get home to one.
No, it's not still no cars out there. Well, you can't, if you order a rev now, you can't even make a generation. Yeah, we went to Melbourne. We had some family friends that have ordered a rev cruiser from cheese.
You guys still haven't got it. And they're going to get the new model. Yeah. So, but, um, I don't know.
I think, I, I, electric cars are here to stay. And there'll be lots of advancements with charging and distance and battery life and all sorts of stuff. But I think the hybrid tech will- Well, two others do want to be pushing it. Two others do want to be pushing it.
Two others got to push it. And they're a big play out the way. And I think if they, the next generation of their hybrid tech combined with bringing on hydrogen. Look, I'm going to a cab to pick up the Tesla.
And it was a Camry hybrid. Yep. 300,000 kilometres on it. Yep.
And it was four litres per kilo. So, and at four litres per hundred. With 300,000. Yeah.
People won't go to all their trink. Not everyone. No. Yeah.
That's it. So, that's what I do. That's what I do. I really push the electric car.
Yeah. Because they've mastered the hybrid tech. Right? They've mastered it.
And the next gen will be better. And it'll be cleaner. And if they get the right balance of car, the Camry's a great family car. It'll be really nice to see that.

I look up on like a. For 110 grand. That's not what the instrument costs for me. But anyway.

You can't get over the updates because there's no camera under the mirrors in order to get that effect. There's a few little things that I'm missing. But, you get them to cry foul. If you get into a car like this.
And if you can't afford, if you can't get 100 grand, that's a lot of money. If you could get a 70 grand, you're buying yourself a car. You're buying yourself a lot of car. If you want an electric car.

But with the Mercedes, if that's someone in your blind spot, you know, you know, you're just looking in your mirror.
It's red, it's red. It's red. So you know, you can indicate, but when you indicate, you know you're hooked in your mirror and even though you can't see anything, it's warning you. Yeah.
So they go in on, can I have a red triangle please? I thought you wanted like an extra bubble mirror to give you that fish on. I bought them from Super Troop as a life's car. So there you have it.
Model Y performance, thumbs up from us. And their charges are crap. What? It's some 3% and one of them charges.
